Edit: downgrading one star after reading the owner’s response. I was really excited to work out here at first. The gym has a solid setup with nice machines from Nautilus, Arsenal, and Hammer Strength. Plenty of squat racks, benches, and deadlift platforms. If you’re into lifting and don’t mind a younger crowd (mostly high school and college kids filming themselves with tripods), it does the job.
But Sebastian, the owner, is extremely unprofessional. When I was signing up, another girl came in to sign up as well and he made fun of her photo, calling it ugly and laughing inappropriately. I remember thinking, “Did he really just say that?” I watched the interaction more closely and could tell there was a level of unprofessionalism that really bothered me.
Maybe that’s just the culture of this gym, and that’s where they are — but it’s not for me. I wanted to support a local gym, but that interaction left a bad impression.
If that kind of behavior doesn’t bother you, the gym itself is decent.
reply to owner's comment: Reading your response to my review—as well as to others—only confirms what I experienced. I was genuinely curious to see whether you would take responsibility for your words or deny them. Unfortunately, you chose the latter.
Your denial of calling a new member’s photo “ugly” is disappointing. It doesn’t erase the impact of that moment. I was there. I heard it. And I left because of it. I truly feel bad for that girl. I could call you out directly and name the exact date it happened. Whether you meant it as a joke or not, it was inappropriate and unprofessional.
And the irony is—yes, you did say something foolish enough to lose business, because you lost mine.
Comments like “sacrificing a small child to make a sale” are wildly inappropriate and, quite frankly, disturbing. They reveal exactly the kind of person you are. Your sarcasm, lack of professionalism, and absence of basic decency only confirm why I no longer want to support your business—and why I now firmly believe others shouldn’t either.
I hope this serves as a wake-up call—not just to protect your business, but to become a better person for the people you interact with every day.
Just be better than who you are now. You clearly have a passion for your gym, and you have the opportunity to build something meaningful—create a positive culture and influence people in this community who are just as passionate about...

Review:
There's things that are really, really great about the gym and there's things that aren't great about it.
The good:
The actual gym itself is wonderful. Such a great variety of equipment, calibrated plates, regular plates, lots of plate loaded machines, lots of regular machines, barbells, benches, racks, turf area, etc. Seriously, in terms of equipment, I'd wager that it's one of the best gyms in the area.
The music playlist is TERRIFIC. At least for my tastes. Hands down best gym music I've heard. Sounds just like my Spotify. (Rap/trap/hip-hop/R&B, etc)
The bad:
What's bad - the gym staff and constituents genuinely do not seem to care about the gym at all. I would say a large amount of the folk who go to this gym are high schoolers or early college students. Aside from yelling and moaning and groaning when they're lifting to hype themselves up, I have NEVER seen a gym so bad with regards to the dumbell rack being completely out of order with people not putting weights back in the right area. I have NEVER seen a gym where people CONSTANTLY leave multiple plates on each side of the plate loaded machines either.
That's a relatively large drawback and extremely inconsiderate. Either it is the staff not caring enough to check the equipment at the end of the day, or it's the constituents constantly messing it up. Maybe a little of both, who knows.
Also, not a huge deal, but every single time I have gone on the weekend thus far, there has been nobody at the front desk even though it was during staffed hours and not near a lunch break. A little strange to say the least. Didn't bother me because I didn't need anything but worth pointing out.
The place is also... kind of dirty. I like the vibe they're going for but it seems like it doesn't get cleaned as much as it should. The lack of cohesion with the type of 45 lb plates they have is also a little weird. Some of them are extremely cheap (multiple cheap varying brands), and some of them are super expensive nice calibrated plates.
Short summary: Great gym, lame gym-goers. Could have easily been a 5/5 review if people cared just a...
Read moreMPG IS A JOKE I regretfully write this review after my unfortunate experience with the owner of MPG Fitness. From the moment I entered the gym, I was met with a level of disrespect and unprofessionalism that I have never encountered in any business setting.
First and foremost, the owner displayed an appalling lack of basic courtesy. Instead of greeting me or offering assistance, I was met with a cold and dismissive attitude. When I had questions about membership options and the facilities, the owner seemed visibly irritated and responded with curt, sarcastic answers, making me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.
Moreover, the owner's behavior towards other members was equally concerning. I witnessed several instances where the owner publicly berated and humiliated members over trivial issues, such as not wiping down equipment properly or asking for help with the machines. This kind of conduct is not only unprofessional but also creates a toxic and hostile environment for everyone.
Additionally, the gym itself was poorly managed. Equipment was often out of order, and despite multiple complaints, the owner seemed indifferent to fixing these issues. The overall cleanliness of the facility was also lacking, further reflecting the owner's disregard for maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
In conclusion, the owner's disrespectful and unprofessional behavior, combined with the poorly managed facilities, make this gym a place I would strongly advise others to avoid. There are many other gyms in the area where members are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve. Save yourself the frustration and take your...
