Debating on the rating here. Overall decided for 4 stars. Reasons; 5 star service was super easy to book a tee time via online, and pay at the course and was laid back which is great for beginners. The course entrance is 3 star due in part without google maps would have passed it, and with frontage road would have been 4 min loop back around. The signage out front to indicate could be a bit better. The course is Par 4s with mostly Par 3s with many holes around the 8-9 iron tee shot, with about 2 holes can get a driver out. For a short round it is great. 18 holes is the "Front" 9 twice. For 2 people that are beginning and developing a swing great course, those who are more experienced would not recommend. The ground on alot of the iron shots is super hard, enough to concern breaking a club head... Part we had seen on the course is there is 18 hole walking but there are random holes around the course, the cups were huge, so thinking maybe soccer ball is used for that 18 holes. If so this is a very interesting course for that. There are some streams and trees/shrubs that make some of the holes a bit higher in technical difficulty to keep it interesting. Over as we learn will keep going back, but think once we get to where we are hitting fairways and greens consistently will find a more...

Read moreDisappointed what Harvey Penick has done with footgolf. This is the only course that offers footgolf in all of Texas. The new management has completely destroyed the footgolf. There are never tee times for footgolf, you can’t ever get a gold cart because they reserve them for golfers first. It’s just extremely disappointing. The course had always been shared with golfers and foot golfers, it was what made Harvey Penick special. There’s are tons of golf courses around Austin, don’t take away the only footgolf course in Austin, for another golf course. Disappointed, wish it can go back to the way it was. To be honest, I play golf as well, and the course is definitely a beginners course, with not the greatest greens that should easily be able to be shared with footgolf as it was...
