Jim's has been a mainstay in Austin since they were a small corner market on 5th Ave NE and the move to the Eastside and then to the new location on the Eastside. The deli still makes the same delicious sandwiches and pita pockets as they did then. I believe the same lovely lady who makes them now is the same lovely lady who made them when I was a child. (: She's definitely an asset to the store as she's always so kind and helpful, and my kid adores her (or maybe he likes her awesome fried chicken!).
