
Iāve paid for a family membership close to 5 years. Iāve always enjoyed the y, then the pandemic hit. I had a tough call, they had just built the new facility but financial hard times were coming, but I made the tough call and kept my membership to help the community during these tuff times. I didnāt want Austin to loose more and more stuff. Iāve tried to cancel my membership a couple times cause I had lost my job and money was getting tight, but thankfully to the ymca they make it more challenging then it needs to be to cancel memberships. So Iāve seen no honor from the place I have donated to the last couple years, cause using the pool and other things cost me as much as a non-member does. Staff is much more rude and Iām-helpful since the move to the new facility. You would think there would be more outreach to paying members to help them and provide more clearer options on navigating through these changing times. It feels like you donāt care just...

I had paid 100$ in full for these sessions and she got 1 class out of it, then the pandemic came. No one emailed me about any alternatives or if they were just putting my daughters lessons on hold or what the deal was. I did email the coach to see what was going to happen with the classes I got an empty email back.... I would have liked to have been informed a little better, and I would like my money back, cause I am not paying 100$ for 1 class... I usually don't like leaving bad reviews but I think the lack of communication is very unprofessional and not a good way to make families...
