On August 19th, 2020 around 3pm. Me, my two years old son and seventy-two years old mom encountered a strange man by verbal harass and intimidate at the Costco parking lot. But more horrible racial discrimination was received by the Costo Wholesale Azusa store's staff. The cause of the incident that happened was the strange man did not allow me to park beside his car. He videotaped me and my son, insulted, and followed me to the store, be to safety needs, I called the 911 and wait for the police to come. Disappointing things have happened after detailed 911. After dialed 911, this crazy man was just standing me less than 6 feet. Consider safety, I called the Costco Wholesale manager to come for help. But when three men who wore the Costco Wholesale uniform towards us, two of them walked to the man and talking nicely with a smile. One came to me but yelled me STOP TO SAY ANYTHING, AND STAND BY! Like I was the man did something wrong! While all this 40-50 minutes waiting procedure, none of the Costco Wholesale staff had come to check or comfort me, instead is one staff named Scott had yelled and intimidate me to STOP TALKING two times! But in the big contrast is, the other two managers had a very nice talking with that crazy man. And Costco staff trade me coldly. They did check me anything that’s happened or comfort me any. The staff who was sent to watch me treats me hostilely. He two times yelled me don’t move and stop talking to them. It happened in the 78-80 degree supper hot summer afternoon time, my son and my mom was suffered under the sun badly and my son cries badly. My old mom has to hold him for a long time under the heat. Even worse than that, after shopping, I did complain to the store manager named Crystal. More disappointed, there is no inspection, there is no listening, all her talk was trying to excuse all responsibility to the misunderstanding. No any mistake admit. What was more stress me out thing happened while the manager calls the staff Scott to the front of us. And I received the third time YELLING of STOP YOUR TALKING! which was clearly intimated while I try to complain about what he did to me. That’s so horrible thing is so obviously tells racial discrimination. Because I am an Asian woman and all the managers and the crazy man are the same ethnicity in his panic. I did not do anything wrong whole this situation. And the only reason why they treated me unfairly inexplicably is Racial Discrimination. And this crazy thing is happened in the Costco Wholesale store, between their staff, not the others.
I advocate the Costco Wholesale store to give me a written apology letter of the Racial Discrimination that happened. The staff Scott yelled and intimidate me should receive serious discipline in a public way. I am resisted any racial discrimination!

Read moreThere is not much to say about Costco that 99% of Southern Californians don't know about. Bought some wonderful things from there; meat is always fresh; and you can even find some nice clothes like a $14 jacket I bought there which is my favorite cool weather light travel gear. But as much as I grew to appreciate the variety of products and tough drive to the Burbank location, the limited stock but low traffic of the San Dimas location, the Azusa location is more predictable, more consistent, and always in stock of things. What was not predictable - and the reason for this review is my last visit. I was deeply occupied by a personal medical emergency, polite but very patient and chilled out in my own spaced out reality...... So I walk up to the cashier who had his own side talk with 2 other staff, scans my card, pauses and calls the manager over his phone. The manager arrives with another person so now I am surrounded by 5 Costco staff members. The manager soberly asks for my membership (I'm still lost in my own personal situation) and I'm starting to get confused by the tone, the number of staff surrounding me, and the stares of the 100 other customers in lines (shoplifting at Costco????). Then the manager proceeds to tell me that my membership is eligible for an upgrade that will give me 2% points and wants to know why my initial reaction is "no thank you"... So this review is for the Costco management team - because their admin line is never answered: Folks I understand the necessities of marketing and salesmanship and pitching a new thing to customers but don't confuse membership to a warehouse with entitlement for bad, service. Because if you bother to take a second look at my membership you will understand I'm not your 2% rebate ideal candidate: I buy very little. Just tone it down, put a smile on, and let your manager walk the floor, help the customers find their cheerios and then do your...
Read moreOn the afternoon of January 9th, my sister, brother-in-law, and I went shopping at Costco. We often shop at this Costco, and usually, the staff and the sample attendants are very friendly. However, this afternoon, something incredibly unbelievable happened when we passed by the sample station for the new coconut milk. The sample attendant, Jan, showed us extreme discrimination. As soon as we took the samples, she immediately shouted at us, accusing us of placing our empty cups back on the tray. But we didn’t do that. Initially, we chose to ignore her and walk away, but she continued to shout at us and slander us to other customers nearby. My sister went back to confront her, and Jan told us to get lost. We chose not to engage further with her. My sister then went to speak with the Costco manager to report our experience, but because the sample department is not part of Costco, the manager couldn’t do much to help us. The Costco manager called over the manager of the sample department, who didn’t show the same level of professionalism as the Costco manager. She kept making excuses for Jan and refused to apologize to us. In the end, the Costco manager did apologize to us. I suggested that Costco should also provide training for the sample department. I hope something like this doesn’t happen to other customers...
