Concentra Urgent Care — Local services in Irwindale

I'd like to preface this by saying that this is the first time I have ever taken the time to write an online review. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Avoid this Concentra location at ALL costs, I beg. The people who work here are incompetent, unprofessional, and careless.

I work at a hospital and was required to take a TB test at a Concentra. I waited almost an hour and a half for my blood to be drawn on a Tuesday morning. They mishandled my blood for the TSpot test and the results came back as invalid. I was required to go again to complete the test and opted for a two step TB test as I didn't want to run into the same issue. I drove all the way from LA for the follow up 48 hours later and was told I had to wait another 20 minutes as reading my arm wouldn't be valid otherwise. I left to run an errand and returned to then find out that everyone had left the office to eat. Not a single person was available besides the woman at the desk. I have wasted hours of my work day and my weekend as a result of their inability to properly manage their resources and care for their patients. Do NOT come here. They do not deserve the privilege of interacting with people who need their help.

Edit: I found out after writing this review that they do not properly inform patients of vaccination/TB test protocol. They gave no direction on when I should come back for the part 2 of my TB test. They had the nerve to tell me it was the responsibility of my employer when I called to ask! My employer?! Come on. Only come here if you are fully knowledgeable for test procedures and wish to...

This place is a mess. The traffic here is worst than that of the 101 freeway. My appointment was at 2pm but i got there at 1:30pm. Do you want to guess when i left this place....? 5:30 pm. First of all one of their workers took my EKG, she herself complained of the nodes not sticking to my skin until shenhad to use take which still didn't stick. Took the EKG 3 times and the Doctor later told me i have abnormal EKG and that he is listening to some stressed heart muscles, like really. So this freaked me out even though i knew their reading were wrong becauese am a chronic arthlete who does srlerious cardio to train my perfect heart. I rushed to my Doctor and did another physical precising that he does ekg and other heart test to make sure i don't have any hidden condition. And off course the results were all perfect as usual and they didn't have some old EKG with a worker who couldn't stick it to my chest. Hmm hmm hmm, this place is bad news. They take tooooo many patients at the same time, create looooonnnngggg wait time and give you wrongs results. Y'all should do better because your results decisions change people's...

Front desk ladies were really rude and for some reason spaced out giving me sign in paperwork by 30 min intervals instead of just giving me all the paperwork at once or even as they came to it (I’m not sure there protocols),making my physical(which when I was finally called back only took 20min) take about 2hrs total. The Dr and Nurse were nice but the overall experience wasn’t positive. They weren’t even busy but the ladies just had attitude when ever I asked questions or asked for help with documents. I’ve had plenty of physicals for work at different clinics and I’ve never had such an oddly negative experience so I would not recommend this location in Irwindale Ca. I actually went to the Valencia Ca location for my follow up and they were wonderful 10/10 very nice and fast. I don’t ever expect more than just polite civility when interacting with the public, but hostility from these ladies especially the older woman really put me off and confused me, maybe staff should re-evaluate the golden rule: treat others as you’d like to be treated....
