Farmer Boys — Restaurant in Irwindale

This was far and away one of the worst experiences I have had with a fast food restaurants. I was picking up food for myself and my friend and her 2 teenage daughters. Spending over $45. They asked me to pull out of the drive-thru and into a marked waiting area. They did the same to the person behind me. I was in the space marked as 1 and labeled "Reserved for our Drive-thru customer's". The person behind me pulled into the space marked 2. In a pretty short time they came and gave the car in space 2 a box of food and they pulled away. The Farmer boys employee then said to me "You got your food, right?" I told her No I had not received anything. She then returned to the restaurant and did not return. I waited and I waited and nobody ever came back. After 15-20 minutes I got out of my car to walk into the restaurant. I was furious. I was on my way to visit one of my best friends. She was involved in a horrific auto accident in March and was extremely injured causing her to spend 23 days in the hospital and undergo several surgeries. When I went in the employees inside acted, at first, like they had no idea what I was talking about. Then they did know and said another employee had just gone out with my order. When I got to the door there was the other employee with the food. They had included a unordered cup of orange juice and an order of fries. I told them if they had just talked to me and told me they had given my order to the wrong customer, I would have completely understood they needed time to remake the order. They never said anything to me. Then when I got to my friend's house after everything I had been through, I had specifically asked for barbeque sauce because my friend always eats onion rings with barbeque sauce. There was not ANY barbeque sauce, no ketchup, no napkins. I've not had good experiences with this franchise in the past but my friend loves them. With the exception of going back for my friend, I will not be going back any time soon. Go at your own risk! Don't say you didn't have...

I pulled through the drive thru and was very specific about my order. It was very, very simple. One sandwich, 1 combo and 1 breakfast burrito. On the combo I requested onion rings instead of fries. One of the sandwiches was a grilled cheese. I think it had 1 piece of cheese on it. It was on Sourdough and I'm not sure which was thinner the bread or the cheese. The breakfast burrito was for a teenager than ended up getting the unwanted, poor quality, fries that were not ever supposed to be on the bag. No onion rings were provided at all. Two drinks were ordered with no offer of and no cup holder and there was at least 25 packets of ketchup put in the bag. Had they asked me I would have asked for ranch and BBQ sauce, but I was never asked. I went through around 7:30 in the evening. I was the only customer there the entire time I was there and they still managed to mess up the order. I was taking food to one of my best friends, for over 30 years now, she and her 2 teenage daughters had driven in from Utah in the morning. By the time I got to her home. She lives in that area. It was too late and it was too far to go back and have them replace what they couldn't get correct the first time. Over $30 in food that was barely eaten. Such a shame and what a waste of money. I won't be returning to this, or any other Farmer Boys location...

Nov. 3, 2024. 2pm. Well…. 5 months later I go to Farmer Boys and I got screwed again!! People do not go to this restaurant. I ordered the zucchini, 4 large pieces and they give you 2 very small portions of ranch! Do not buy! Only enough ranch for 2 pieces and they want you to buy more ranch. Nope. I talked to Evan the manager and he refused to give me more ranch unless I paid for it. Do not patronize this restaurant. You will get screwed over.

June 16, 2024 @ 3:00 pm Well I went to FB on Irwindale and to guest relations@farmer boys and no coupon or help for a discount because of my last experience. So don’t bother people. There is no coupon or help at the second website. So of course I walked out. May 2024. Well…the staff is very nice. I ordered eggs basically Over Easy or Over Mediun depending on the cooks. So today I got a cook and it was his first day being a cook and cooking 3 eggs. Oh my…. So 12 eggs later my eggs were ok. What I don’t get is why are the dishes/plates very cold & kept in the freezer? The plates should be hot under a light so the eggs are warm when served as is the bacon, toast & hash browns. Bacon was rolled in salt. Why? Why are the plates freezing? It doesn’t make sense. Never again will I have a cold breakfast there for $14.00 plus tax. Coffee was $3.50. Absurd.
