151 Huron County Fair. New bath and wash rooms... quite nice!! $5 per fee, for guests, parking, just coming in, whatever you want to call it. 10 and up pay $5 no matter what. Rides started Wed afternoon at 3pm for $18.00, at that point might as well not have rides as the fair is half over not even including the day. Why do they not start at noon as years past? Grandstand is always full of events, too bad the bleachers arent, and if they are, the crowd participation is as the food at "Olive Garden", mediocre at best. Thursday night rodeo brought the "Super Kicker Rodeo" and country music singer DeWayne Spaw, which our family quite enjoys. People this night were so lively that you had to light fire crackers under each one to get reactions... even after the entertainers entered the stands. Very sad for them, as it is hard to get out and perform for others; especially if you are performing to a bunch of staring faces and open mouths. Barns are full with animals as always and the "Miracle of Life" pavilion is a great addition to the fair, but no horses this year??? Took our daughter to the barns to see them and it looked at if the stalls were never used??? Also walking through the other barns, the pig barn was fully lit as always, but steer and sheep barn had the lights off? Any other year, we never seen the lights off in those barns... do the animals have "Lights Out Time" now?? Not evening going to get into what went on for the JL Sale day, prices were way down. Lots of questions from a fair that starts their week off asking for people to come.. participate, care about your local fair (on the local radio station). The idea of the fair use to mean something, bring the community together and pack everything... lately it has seemed like all it is about is money, high end farmers and farm familys, and money. At this rate we may not see a 200th HCF if people don't wake...

Unpleasant prices, $5 per person 11yrs an older just to park, and $18 per kid for rides is crazy, should be pay one price...

I,'m not sure what rides were for the kids with disabilities cause I wasn't able to get on any of the rides that my 3 1/2yrs old son with autism and it was just making him mad and I was just wondering why he was invited with his school for the rides to be separate from the fair?
