When they installed my propane service outside my home, they failed to include a gas pressure regulator. When we turned the propane on from our newly installed service, the propane gas came blowing through the lines with such force it blew the guts of our brand new Rheem propane water heater out and propane was gushing through the lines filling the basement with propane gas. I had no choice but to rush into the gas filled rooms to turn the interior shutoff valve. I contacted a different professional who inspected the work done by Econ Welding. It was determined they failed to install a regulator, as necessary. The repair bill came to nearly $300. I’m thankful I didn’t lose my life because of this. Please, if you have this company to work for you, please have it inspected by an independent party before you turn any lines on. Better yet, do not hire them to do work; your life may depend on it.
RESPONSE TO ECON WELDING: I have all my correspondence with Don Rosenthal setting up the install. My payment went to Economy Welding in Baden, PA. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that you’re denying you did the work. I have all the documentation.
