Will not patronize this store ever again after having my 9 year old daughter racially profiled by store manager. Yesterday, my neighbor and I stopped by to grab snacks for the Comcast movie on the Waterfront with our kids (her 12 year old son and my 9 year old daughter). She's Caucasian and I clearly am not. I proceeded to check out through the self checkout line and your manager was nearby as I scanned my items and 2 additional that my daughter handed me which was a Minions Frisbee and some balloons. You manager then waits until we reach our vehicle and sends a black kid out yelling hey the store manager wants to speak with you. Now comes your store manager sashaying across the parking lot stating my daughter's item weren't paid for which for obvious reasons infuriated me, but I calmly proceeded to tell him they were paid for and here's the receipt. Now my point is, if he thought those items weren't paid for, he had ample opportunity to stop us in the store to verify whether or not this was the case, but instead he chose to send an associate running across the lot to cause a scene which was so uncalled for and most embarrassing to say the least. Now both our children walked out the store with items that were purchased but not bagged which is why I want you to know that this was blatant racial profiling. My neighbor and child weren't addressed, just me and my child. So please know that I will be taking to social media regarding this incident and advising my friends, family and colleagues not to patronize this store. I am anxiously awaiting your response to...
Read moreI'm not sure if this is the right store that I order from, there are two within 1/2 mile from my home. Today I received my delivery order. I wrote instructions to look for the latest expiration date(they did, milk expires 31 Dec), and for the smallest spiral ham that was on sale. The ad says 8-12 lbs. I know they read the instructions. Everything else was good. I explained there are only 2 of us and needed small ham. I'm 63 yrs old, and handicapped. They sent a 12.35 lb ham. Why? There is no excuse for what they did. How do I lift this big ham with juices and water in the pan from the oven? Between ham and fluids it will weigh over 20 lbs. I can't believe how ignorant this store employee was. Really, really wrong Giant! Somewhere in my papers, I still have my original paper check cashing card from 1974. Giant, have you ever had to call your customer service dept and act like a customer yourself to be talked to with the condosending and the I don't care attitude? This is only my 9th delivery/shopping in over a year at Giant. I usually shop at Harris Teeter and Safeway. When they make a mistake, they take care of it and don't send me to their 3rd party customer service dept. Giant is way overpriced. I have to save up items in a cart for days to arrive at an amount for delivery. Read moreI’ve been shopping at this Giant location with my husband every Sunday for the last 2 years since we moved here. We haven’t had any problems until about a month ago, when we had a big storm that knocked out power for a couple days. Since then the restocking of frozen foods has been poor at best. We tend to buy the same things every week, and have noticed that many popular items (some on sale) have not been restocked since the previous week. An excellent example is the Newman’s frozen pizzas, which have been on sale since the power outage, yet the most popular flavor has been out of stock since I bought the last 2 almost a month ago. I have even come on weekdays to try to find them, and they just haven’t been restocked for a month. Why is it even on sale if you don’t bother restocking? Another example is with Heath flavored Klondike bars. I bought the last 2 last Sunday and this Sunday they are still out. Not stocking ice cream in June? There are more examples I could list, but instead I think I’ll find another Giant location to shop at.
