This place is one of the oldest place with the name Duke Kabab. I first ate back in 2005. The food was okay back then. I did not go for many many years and last year I started to go again. So I became somewhat regular customer. I only take carry out some times twice a week or more and typically use two cofee cups for onion and lemon which is easy to put inside the bag as oppose to using a bowl for those which fall down inside the bag. Today the employee said I took too much and should use bowl which is on the counter top. I put them in two bowl and showed them that it is not overflowing. Then he took out a foam bowl with lead which is bigger in size compared to the one on counter top and told me this is how much I am supposed to take and he is experienced enough to know the onion and lemon I took will not fit. He also told me a second bowl would cost me 4 dollars. Remember this is the onion and lemon I am talking about that are next to tea section. I knew the amount I took will easily fit and did not get into argument and left as by then I decided I am not coming back so not worth the argument plus two of my boys were with me hungry and anxious to go home. I ordered two chicken tikka and goat curry and my boys like to eat with lemon which I put in each chicken pieces hence I took those. I felt insulted and I know there is no way I took excess lemon or onion. What a bad customer service! My son on the spectrum likes their chicken tikka and now I will have the diffult task of explaining why we dont want to come here anymore. The food is decent pricey but customer service is really bad. Apologies for the...
Read moreFirst of all, I wish I can give them zero stars. So pathetic customer service. Last night I and my friends went to their place from Maryland(30miles) before going I called restaurant @10 and asked are you guys open for dine in, he said yes but sharp 12. I drove all the way from Maryland to Virginia and finally reached over there. I placed an order and asked for dine in. He said no mam you cannot I asked why you just confirmed on call. He denied. Well I looked around and saw groups of people on two tables they were dining in and waiting for food. There food came at the same time but he allowed them to eat but not me. I was watching from glass door outside. He came to us and said ok I will call you guys in when food is ready you can dine in. I thanked him. So now I and my friends were waiting outside in car for like one hour. After one hour I went inside and asked him we are still waiting he simply replied oh I was so busy and forget. He also said now you cannot dine in. This is completely unacceptable. The saddest part is he is from my country and I was so disappointed to see him treating his own country fellows discriminatory. The rules should be equal for everyone no partiality or discrimination is...
Read moreI just ordered number 9. Boneless chicken with beef kabob. I told him i didn’t want the bread instead I wanted extra rice. He said he can’t do that but I don’t want the salad he could give me the extra rice. I told him that was fine and didn’t want the salad instead wanted the extra rice. I got 2 soda. My total was almost $18. Which is fine if the food is good. It took about 15 minutes for my food to get ready which was fine as I was going through my emails. My food came out with many issues. I get two sides. Both the spinach and chicken curry was cold. I didn’t complain. The beef kabob was extra hard but it was fine and once again I didn’t complain. I did not get the extra rice which I didn’t complain about. Than the boneless chicken was extremely burnt. I went up the owner/cashier and told him about it. He made up all these excuses that all chicken come differently and he couldn’t do anything about it. Worst experience ever. I didn’t want to trash the bread and the chicken so I left it on the table. Health inspectors will be called on these guys as one of the cooks was sitting on the pot which was placed on the ground...
