This giant always has everything we need. The staff are always nice and friendly but what made me write a review today was what I witnessed as I was going into the store. The man pushing the carts (he was a tall fellow with a white beard, wearing a green jacket). There was a family that had parked in front trying to get their little children out of the van because it’s cold. This giant employee starts yelling saying that they can’t park there and that it’s state law and says “cant you read”, he curses and insults them as they are there trying to take the children out of the car. So sad to see a situation like this where this employee has to be so ridiculous towards a family that was obviously not doing anything wrong but taking their children out so they don’t have to walk in the cold as there were not any close parking spots. The family ended up putting their children back in the car and left. The manager came out and spoke to him and the employee said how he had apologized but he didn’t and he shouldn’t have done all of that in the first place. As we walk outside to our car we see the man pushing the carts again and there were cars stopped in the lane and he stafts yelling saying “you can’t go? Why do you have to stop there like that”. Sounds like a very bitter man that has no type of customer service. I was not the only one to witness this disturbing behavior and I hope something gets done about this individual as it is very unacceptable. Read moreAfter paying for my groceries and proceeding to the exit. Their "security guard" stopped me. He gave me an attitude, and proceeded to harass me. Demanding I walk to the opposite end of the store to a different exit. The door nearest the register I paid at is clearly marked "EXIT". I explained this to him, and showed him the sign I read that lead me there. He said "EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY!" I further explained the sign only reads "EXIT" nothing about emergency only etc. I suggested they correct their signs.The other exit he demanded I used has an identical "Exit" sign posted above it. 1. This customer is right. 2. treat your customers with respect. 3. Fix your signs. 4. Your Security guard just cost you a customer "for life!". 5.. Security guards are to keep us safe NOT to Start problems and harass you customers. There are many more appropriate ways he could have handled the circumstances. I can imagine he must deal with multiple times a day. Such as being polite, and apologizing for the confusing, incorrect sign placement. Discussing this likely recurring issue with Giant store management to come up with a solution. He's essentially being paid to harass and bully your customers right out of the store. Read moreI drove about five miles to come to this location specifically for the salad bar. I found out that recently the stores had reopened their salad bars, and this was the reason why I traveled here. I arrived at around 7:20pm to find the salad bar deserted. A sign is situated in too of the salad bar that displays the hours that it's opened. 10am - 8pm was clearly displayed. An employee was working close by and I asked him what was the deal. He said that 'oh we usually close at 7pm' and then I directed his attention to the sign. He seemed dumbfounded, and suggested that I could speak with a Manager if I needed more information. He said I could just go walk around the isles and look for someone. I had to explain to him that my time was limited and that I would have had no idea who to look for. Begrudgingly, he said he would walk with me to find a Manager. He took me to someone named Charles and at that point, we explained the situation with the salad bar closing early. Charles told the employee to go in the back and prepare the salad that I wanted. That was great in my view. I guess the employee did the best he could, but still the salad wasn't prepared in the same way that I would have prepared it.
