First time into Tawas Bay Yarn Co, and so delighted my hubby suggested it! The vast inventory is quite comprehensive, and the owner shared many interesting back stories, as well as had some terrific purchasing incentives going.

My friend and I were rather stunned to find skeins of an alpaca yarn from Cascade for $16 that would make up a classic, soft wrap. Truly a good gift option, and at quite a nice price point!

The shop owner was one of the sweetest people I've met. Helped me find what I was looking for, of course, but even beside that made sure I knew how to clean what I was getting. I had two specific colors in mind since I was making a harry potter scarf, and she helped me find a good bronze color in wool and a matching navy color in the same type and brand. Very knowledgeable, very sweet lady. Prices were fairly reasonable for yarn. I will be returning when in the area again, and I encourage others to do the same.
