Good prices. Places is kept well, don't get me wrong. The staff, however: i've been going there two years and anytime you actually need help; you're not gonna get it. You'll be ignored. You'll be pointed into random locations because no one actually wants to help you find anything.. You'll be given vague answers. This staff is about doing the least work as possible. They will seriously stare at their phone circle the registers slowly and get in your way when your trying to leave. They don't really care. The most effort they're gonna do is tell you to have a good day. Last time I was there, I was standing at customer service for about 5 minutes while the person that was supposed to be watching the customer service desk was standing in the office talking to another employee who is on the phone, telling them about how good of a rapper this person was. They clearly saw me. AND There actually was somebody standing at the customer service desk when I approached. All they did was look at me and say someone is coming to help you. Read moreFor many years, we have been loyal customers of Food Lion and have consistently had positive experiences, particularly at the checkout, where service has always been efficient and professional. Unfortunately, over the past several months, we have observed a noticeable decline in the quality of service at the deli counter.
On multiple occasions, the employees working in that department have displayed an unwillingness to assist customers. Their body language, tone, and overall demeanor suggest that customer inquiries are viewed as an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to provide service. This lack of attentiveness and professionalism has made our shopping experience increasingly unpleasant.
As a result, we have made the decision to begin shopping at Giant for our deli needs, even though their prices are generally higher. The difference in customer service is significant, and we have been very satisfied with the level of courtesy and responsiveness we receive there.
