My family has come to this restaurant a couple times since they opened. Our family loves Mexican food and very rarely complain about service/food expectations. Tonight (6-11-24), we had the worst service at a restaurant. We arrived early and waiting for our other guests to arrive, the staff seated us with menus and silverware. Once our guests arrived we got drinks and ordered appetizers. We asked for our guests to receive silverware, never came. We asked 7 times, to 3 different staff members (including our waiter) and it never came. We were seated next to the door and saw the silverware rolls in the hostess booth. My husband went to the booth and requested to have 2 pairs of silverware so our guests could eat. We ordered the ceviche and received the Chori-Queso, we didn’t think much of it, you know, simple mistakes happen. When our food came an hour later, I had the wrong dish that had zero flavor, honestly looked thrown together; pot roast meat on corn tortillas. We will not be returning to this restaurant for several months. I understand that there are off nights, every place has those, but there were no apologies or...
Read moreI was excited to try this place after a friend had a good experience. I love Mexican food and spent part of my childhood in TX. The chips came out cold, salsa was just ok. They forgot 2 things in my order. We had a large group though. My juevos rancheros was overloaded with tomato sauce, could barely taste the eggs. Refried beans bland. When I asked to fix my check the waitress was visibly annoyed. 4 people in our group had their checks wrong, including myself. We got there with an hour to spare for lunch specials, my check was adjusted just after they ended. I had to ask for my check to be fixed twice. After removing the items they forgot, they had charged the non-lunch special prices. The waitress was even more frustrated to fix my check again, no apologies, let me fix that, a small...
Read moreStopped in for a quick lunch after running a few errands, and was not disappointed. I sat at the bar, where they had large screens with soccer on--right up my alley. Decided to get a beverage and hang out and work a while, so I chose a cantarito (tequila, grapefruit, etc with a tajín rim). It had a really good balance of flavor to alcohol. Whenever I try a new place, I like to try a pupusa--this time pork and cheese--and it was delicious, with just enough crispness on the outside from the grill. I was already pretty full after the pupusa, but opted for a lunch portion of taquitos with chicken. For my two sides on the lunch special, I chose guacamole and plantains. A very filling lunch for the $ spent, lots of helpful staff members, and next time I'm in the area I...
