Service and parts department is awful. Our pool is 12 years old and we have been Customers since the pool was installed by them. This summer we have had problems with opening. They did not close it right last year and had to fix the frozen pipes. Then our shut off valve pipe by the pump broke. Pump wouldnt start. My husband finally got it to start and had to leave the pump running 24/7. Called and asked them to come out to take a look and fix. Waited 5 days and called back. They sent someone to look and that technician never talked to us. Just took a look and left. Did not fix the problem. Called again and Bonnie said that she would get the technician to call us back. He never did. We waited several days and called numerous times to get an update. My husband went up there on a Saturday to get the part to fix it himself, but of course the service and parts department was closed and the sales told him that they would have someone call. He ended up fixing it himself that weekend. We couldn't wait anymore since the pump was running 24 hours a day for over a week!
Now, we are looking to refinish since it is recommended at the 10 to 15 year mark. Looking to get a quote to refinish and to have new piping, filter, and pump done next spring. Again, let emails and messages for several weeks. Finally, Bonnie called back and again said that they are busy and will get back to us. Will not hold my breath. I have no faith that they will call us back or follow through.
Already called another company and guess what! They answered and are coming out tomorrow!
Fronheiser used to be really good. Don't know what happened this year, but I'm very disappointed. We have been loyal customers. We have the pool closed by them yearly and even buy hundreds of dollars of chemicals, and this is how we are being treated?! My question is this... how can Fronheiser treat their longtime customers like this? We can't wait for when it is convenient. Our pool is a large expense, and the issue we had earlier this summer couldn't wait. I hope the owner reads this and resolves their department service. I hate that we may have to look elsewhere, but customers' service, communication, and timely responses are important to me in any business that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFronheiser pools installed our indoor pool. The experience has been been very professional. Gary is a great project manager. We worked with Mr. Ron Fronheiser to pick out the lining (Gunnite), coping, colors, and water treatment system.
Our biggest concern was the build up of chlorine or bromine fumes since this is a sealed room without regular access to the outside air. Ron and crew installed a new light treatment system coming out of Florida and used there to treat drinking water. While we are treating the water for pH balance, we do not need to add any chlorine or bromine to keep the water clear and clean. The system works 24/7/365 and can treat every gallon of pool water two or three times daily (actually I think it's closer to 5 times daily but don't quote me on that!)
We had only a few minor issues with scheduling, but Gary was very accommodating. He responds quickly to emails and since we are close to their HQ in Bally, PA, they can send a technician up here in under an hour if needed.
I'm uploading a bunch of pictures of their work throughout the construction process. They did not install the building. That was done by CF Smith Construction of East Greenville who acted as GC, and the stone work was completed by Weiss Masonry of East Greenville. Painting was done by Joe Graham Painting out of Gilberstville. The electrical was performed by Ed Miller Electric from Emmaus. Excavation was performed by Crow Hill Excavating of Zionsville. Burkholders installed the HVAC system, which is state of the art and heats the pool, the stone flooring around the pool and manages the temperature and humidity. The stone was purchased from Rolling Rock Quarry in Boyertown.
We strongly believe in local businesses, and the groups we used to build this pool house all worked well together. They coordinated each other's schedules, and resolved issues among themselves. Not once was I brought in to resolve a dispute among the contractors. They were all efficient and cleaned up after themselves.
We are proud to promote our local tradesman...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrendous service. They donāt make appointments, they just show up whenever they feel like it. They charge over $600 for āpool openingā which apparently just includes removing the cover and nothing else - they had to keep coming back out over and over again because they kept "forgetting" stuff even though it was selected in their own paperwork. I paid for them up front to maintain the pool all summer and 10 days after they āopenedā it Iām still waiting to be able to use it. They claim to have cleaned it but there is no indication that anything was ever done. They claim to have put chemicals in the filter but the filter was never even turned on and the pool is still cloudy and dirty. When asked for them to show me what to do when they are here next, I was told āitās not our pool so just google itā...yes, for $3k/year you are told to just āgoogle itā. Company seems to be struggling and customer service appears to be a thing of the past here.
Update: instead of actually offering to fix the issues their lack of communication and service has caused, they are simply cutting off customers who leave bad reviews. Stay away.
Update #2: Upon hiring a much more responsive pool company which performed the cleaning and opening Fronheiser was hired to do but failed to, it was discovered that someone seemingly dropped a fully extended Leatherman Tool into the pool while closing it last year and simply left it to get stuck in the drain over the winter. Furthermore, the filter was completely clogged and simply needed a good rinsing to work, which Fronheiser also failed to do during their alleged multiple trips to the property to open and clean the pool. The filter could have been severely damaged if not for my hiring another company who...
