Main Street Pub — Restaurant in Bally

Went here with husband on Saturday night. It was our first time here. It was a pleasant evening out. The other customers around us were all very friendly and having some conversation between tables which included us. The servers were extremely attentive to their tables; I don't think anyone could've asked for better service. My husband had their largest steak and I had the filet and lobster tail. The food was perfectly cooked in both cases and delicious! Side servings were quite large. I do want to say that I have seen the negative reviews here, and perhaps there are days when establishments have staff call out and are short, or perhaps someone is just having an off day. I've lived in the area for years and never went to the Main St. PUB to eat...well, yesterday after swimming at the local pool we went for dinner....i can say that they exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious! There were 2 of us and we both were extremely pleased with not only our food, but the service of our waitress Gail, and the price range of our food being far less expensive than a meal like this deserved. The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars and not 5, is because there were some things that weren't quite as sterile as other places since COVID19. After reading reviews, we thought it would be nice to try this place out as it is relatively close to home. We will not, however, be returning. It took almost half an hour to get sat, then over an hour after we ordered to get our food of which half was overcooked. While we were there the waitress offered 4 other tables a free dessert due to the long wait, but after telling the her that the chicken was too tough to eat, she returned with the bill with half the price of the chicken removed.
