NATURAL GIRLS BEWARE I've been to this salon a couple times and always had pleasant experience. Good energy and no longer then a 10 min wait for the next stylist. About a month ago I took my grandma to get her hair straightened. She has been natural for 10 years and she wanted to get her hair straightened w/o waiting hours. So, of course I take her here. I said she is natural and just wants a blow out. Everything was going good, hair was laid but about 2 weeks later she went to wash her and it was bone straight. This had never happened to me soo I'm googling what it could possible be, and we come to the conclusion that maybe it's what damaged and her curls will revert back after a a good deep condition.... and it didn't. So silly me, goes back to the salon getting my usual pin curl... mind you, my natural curl pattern hasn't changed since been going here for 2 months..... but 2 weeks later on wash day... my hair was BONE STRAIGHT, BRITTLE, AND FALLING OUT! So i did more research because the stylist didn't do anything unusual and come to find out there are salons mixing relaxer and shampoo! And I 100% believe me and my grandmother are victims of this mess. Lucky my gma usually wears her hair in flat twist so her hair didn't break off as much but me on the other hand..... I have to...

Positive: Good stylist Negative: I attended the salon four times. Each visit, Rose (proprietor) would charge a different amount (increased) for the service. The prices increased from $28.00 to $35.00. When I questioned her about the increasing prices vs the "advertised prices" (prices pinned to wall), she became a little aggravated with me. I suggested she revise the old poster on the wall with updated prices to prevent her customers from asking her further questions about the fees. She then, for each visit would become somewhat abrupt and would not face me (give me eye contact) when quoting the price/s. She would tell her associates to tell me. She also would talk about her customers in Spanish to her workers. I understand what she was saying (took three years of Spanish and presently am taking conversational Spanish).Talk about being professional.

My advice: Get a feel of the place should you choose this particular site for hair care. Just be mindful of the fees and...

I wouldn't go here if you are natural and want to get the roller set instead of your shampooed hair blow dried straight. The shampoo lady tried to pull my hair out, and when i mentioned that she was pulling my hair out, her only response was, its because your natural. So I said, ok, since you don't know how to detangle hair, you can stop right now! I gave them two stars because, the owner, Rose (Rosaria) is a doll!! She refused to let me leave unhappy. I asked if I could just pay for the shampoo and go and she said no, I'll do it for you. She detangled properly, set my roller set, and later blowed my hair out. Sadly, I wasn't satisfied with the blowout. However, I appreciated her effort and great customer service skills. I don't ever plan on going back. But thought I would share my experience with those who are natural and prefer the roller set in place of your wet hair being blown straight. Note: this was my first (and last) time going...
