I visited the shop on 6/18/2023 and thought I had posted a review. Today I wore a pair of earrings I purchased from the store and they are GORGEOUS and great quality. What an amazing experience I had during my visit...the owners are super personable and knowledgeable. They gave me a one on one tour and history of many of the items. I purchased beautiful canvas, earrings, ring and Kuba cloth. I can't wait to visit again and HIGHLY recommend you visit Sankofa and/or an event they are hosting.

I was in town for a wedding and needed African attire. I found Sankofa African & World Bazaar on Google and was so glad I did! They had all sizes from kids to adults. I'm a size 16 and got this beautiful skirt with matching head wrap and the beautiful earrings. The material is thick and of high quality and the skirt had pockets :) The staff was sooooo nice and so helpful!!! I would definitely recommend shopping here and will visit again when I'm back in town.

Home away from home in the essence of authentic African attire and art. The proprietor, Ms Esther is a wonderful person to talk with. Her husband manages a small museum within the shop. He is very knowledgeable. The shop is a great place for people to learn about African Art and culture. It has been in the Charles Village area of Baltimore for a little more than 20 years.
