My family spends over $300 a week in this store. It has been going up and up of course, like everyone else's grocery bills. Last Monday evening, I was there with my kindergartener, after a long weekend, packed my cart with again with almost $300 items and then found a cashier line which had one person in front of me. I started waiting while another woman started waiting behind me within 10 minutes. After at least 15 minutes of me waiting in line while the customer in front me was trying hard to bag his own groceries, an employee approached to the last person in line, the woman behind me, and asked if she wants to be helped in the next check out station that she will open. They both happily ignored me waiting there for many minutes, IN FRONT OF her, and skipped to the next check out while ignoring my words towards them saying "Excuse me, I have been waiting longer here, why don't you ask me first?" They proceeded pretending I am inaudible and invisible. I ended up waiting in line longer than multiple people after me. Frustrated, deflated, disappointed. It is the worst feeling and I hope nobody experiences it. The customer service I talked to after apologized but did not ask my information or talked to the cashier who seemed to ignore me including my clear frustration that I verbally expressed. I expect the company that is getting many thousands of dollars of business from me take the time to respond and show me that they are taking steps to avoid this ever happening again. I also hope that the person who was behind me and saw no problem ignoring my existence would also take some time to think about their sense of fairness. Sometimes all it takes is telling someone that you are hearing them, these people (both the cashier and the customer) chose not to say anything for many minutes knowing I was rightly frustrated to be skipped...
Read moreThis Marston's Mills location has been my "go to' market for ages. Its always clean and well stocked. Unfortunately i no longer feel comfortable there. They give you the option of scanning and bagging your groceries as you shop. I don't usually do this. I usually scan and bag at the end. Today i used the hand held scanner and scanned/bagged as i went along shopping. When i reached the checkout and tried to "scan the handheld scanner" so i could pay and leave the checkout started beeping and blinking that help was required. I had to stand and wait until someone from the other end of the store noticed and came over. She told me my order was being audited and she started digging into my bags, pulling things out, and scanning them with her own scanner. I started handing her items as i was already late for where i needed to be and wanted to speed up the process. She looked at me and said no to what i was handing her. She said "i want to see your meat items". She treated me like a criminal. She behaved like a security guard. People were staring at me. I am very honest and would never take anything without paying. I realize they need to monitor for theft BUT they should not treat innocent people like shoplifters. The woman "frisking" my bundles learned i had scanned everything, but treated me like a thief. She said that was their way of making sure i wasn't stealing. If they cant find a better way to monitor for theft they need to do away with this self scanning method. I was very embarrassed, felt guilty until proven innocent, and very VERY disappointed with Stop and Shop. This store has lost me, a frequent and great customer. SHAME ON YOU STOP AND SHOP IN...

Afterthat she explains to the customer that's she was sorry but at this point its out of her control and she was sorry. This women said well this is ridiculous and u need to learn how to speak to me. Now these racks are taller them my 5'8 daughter and the old man that's worked there 50 years said to her I wouldn't make u do this if it was up to me. We'll then he said they have cleaners that do that isk why they r making u do it. We'll she got hurt like 5 x pinching her fingers. She was in the back away from customers and she said bad words from getting hurt and asking for help and Noone would. She was highly upset. So then they suspended her and now after a week will not return her calls after 4x calling And obviously u know who I'm talking about. I feel you judged her way to soon.
