(English review followed by Spanish; note that English is my first language)
My family and I visited the house on 12/22/24, around 10:20 AM. Now, we weren't even sure if the house would be open -- I called around a half dozen times in the weeks before and I got nothing besides the automated messages. The lack of recent Google reviews didn't help (so I'm glad I can write this). However, we were delighted to see that the house was indeed open. It's a small house, and there is no gift shop (a souvenir shop nearby was closed on Sunday), but it's near the Barranquitas square. In addition, the mausoleum nearby was open, so we saw it as well. There are neat artifacts inside, including Luis Muñoz Rivera's painting as well as the automobile that transported his body for his funeral.
As an added treat, the security guard on duty (don't expect a tour, and it's not even like you'll need one) was so impressed by us, that he gifted me, my brother, and my sister with one of Luis Muñoz Rivera's poetry books. It is in Spanish, but the three of us are fluent in it. I could tell that very few non-Puerto Ricans visit the location. However, if you love history, and you love seeing the sites of major leaders (this being for Luis Muñoz Rivera and Luis Muñoz Marín), I would recommend making the trip.
I believe the hours are 8 AM - 12 PM, and again from 1 PM to 4:30 PM daily. As I stated above, don't expect them to return your messages, but don't let that deter you!
