Pha Thān — Restaurant in Bartlesville

I'm spending a few weeks in Northeast OK, and after gorging myself on BBQ, I was pleasantly surprised to find this very good Pho shop in Bartlesville. We ordered spring rolls as an app, and they were the largest spring rolls (qty 3)I have ever been served. They included plenty of chicken and some shrimp, and were very tasty - though the rice paper could have been a little less moist and wrapped a bit tighter. My companion and I both ordered beef Pho as the entree. Very tasty broth - certainly in the top 20% of broths I have had. There was a slight sweetness, which countered the generous amount of chili paste I added (and which is readily available on each table). No tripe or mystery meat here (fine by me) - just a couple varieties of thin slices beef and meatballs (which were perfectly bite-sized and tasty). Garnishments included a very sweet and fragrant basil, thin-sliced hot peppers and bean sprouts. No cilantro is included, which I like in my pho - but that did not detract from my enjoyment. Pha Than has a cozy vibe for a pho place, but my experience fell short. When we walked in, the staff seemed unsure about where to seat us, which was awkward. Service was painfully slow, even simple things like water refills took forever. The pho itself was just okay—the broth lacked depth and the noodles were a bit overcooked.
