Ambilika's Indian Boutique (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY BOUTIQUE) — Local services in Bath

Poor service, poor attitude, poor helplessness. We made an appointment to look at dresses for a wedding. We specified that when walking in. We were met with attitude from the moment we walk in to this dingy place. When we asked about certain items & tailoring the response was “that’s strange”. Not accommodating at all. There aren’t many options to begin with but for further reference, what you see is what you get. Some pieces have “extra fabric” & some don’t. This lady whom is the owner didn’t do anything to help us find anything & treated us as though we didn’t belong there. However, she decided to be offended when we didn’t purchase anything despite her attitude, despite the fact that she clearly doesn’t pay attention to her inventory to know she’s giving dresses that are broken or damaged in some way for customers to try on, despite her not actually picking out dresses for the occasion we specified, despite her not pulling any dresses at all, despite her telling us she didn’t have any of the sizes we were looking for, despite her contraindicating herself about the tailoring that she doesn’t do. I had a truly disappointing experience at Ambilikas Indian Boutique. The owner was incredibly rude, dismissive, and seemed completely uninterested in addressing my concerns. She asked me what I was looking for. When I responded with what my friend needed for a wedding, her response was “I’m not a miracle worker”. We were met with a condescending attitude and curt reactions from the moment we entered the store. Not to mention the one dress she did pull out for my friend had a very uncooperative zipper. Product quality was comparable to SHEIN. When we realized the owner had nothing to accommodate my friend (which she repeated multiple times), we decided to leave. She snapped back and stated we were a waste of time. (30 mins) I felt like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. I left feeling frustrated and unwelcome.
