We had a wonderful time here! Our guide, Syana (I hope I didn't completely butcher your name), was awesome! She knew the history of the property and had also done research of her own. The property has an incredible history. It was fun to see the main house, kitchen and garden as they were "back in the day". The kitchen was set up the way it had been years ago. The main house is full of the day to day items that were used. And the plus for me was seeing furniture and utensils that I had seen in "growing up" and exactly how they were used. We accidentally went on a first Sunday which was great since our guided tour was free. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and a great story teller. She shared information about the house and family but also historical information about the area.

Beth Mays took us around the main house and was so knowledgeable. She made the tour entertaining so the hour she generously spent with us seemed like 5 minutes. I would really recommend a visit here, it was the 3rd plantation we visited on our trip, this was definitely the best.

2nd oldest plantation in Louisiana with many original buildings still intact, including the big house, privy, outdoor kitchen, sugarcane press, and slave quarters. Great insight from our tour guide and the entire staff was very kind and accommodating.

We took the guided tour and it was spectacular. Very informative without being stuffy. The house was beautifully furnished and the property was fascinating. Great gift shop and staff as well. Definitely worth the visit.
