University Seafood — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

I went to this place for a quick bite to eat and despite living within the area I have NEVER been here before so here are my honest opinions:

Food: Great! Since I am greedy sometimes and so I ordered a large plate of fish fillets and shrimp. The food was cooked well and it tasted good. None of what I ordered tasted like old grease or had any burnt portions. Everything was fresh and I did not have to wait an excessive amount of time.

Customer Service: Good. The workers didn't seem cheerful which is not a big deal for me. They were not rude or dismissive and the guy taking my order displayed professionalism. I saw the cashier and I saw two other people briefly. When my order was ready I was offered napkins but when I checked my bag I was not given any utensils. I'm greedy but not messy.

Atmosphere: Okay. There were no tables or chairs if you want to dine in. I am not sure if this place works like this but if you want to sit and eat there you can forget it. Not a big deal for me but I did question why they didn't have any. It was not packed when I went so it wasn't noisy and there were no rude or rowdy people. To be fair it was well into the evening but I was wondering just how busy it gets during the day?

Prices: They seem fair to me. I ordered two large plates, one with fish fillets and the other with butterfly shrimp which came up to about $25. I think it was worth the price. I have attached pictures below of what I experienced and ordered.

I love it! I love it! I love it! I mean the service was okay since we watched a girl yell at her coworker in front of customers. However, the food was phenomenal. The eggroll was so crispy and the fried rice had massive shrimp. The boiled shrimp were a little overdone, but I can overlook that. The spicy wings are sauced not fried and damn are they spicy and tangy. The fried shrimp were also perfectly seasoned. I love basically everything from here. The only things are when they boil the shrimp, they let it sit in this black bucket and sometimes its sitting ion its own juices to where the shrimp shell is really stuck on the shrimp, making it really hard to peel and when you finally peel it, there's barely and meat left.
