This rouses has me so skeptical. People say the meat turned gray the next day. Mine didn’t but when I did cook my steak it was extra bloody, almost a square shape, super tough, chewy and rubbery. Tasted like liver. The chicken wings I bought tasted like beef and were already coated in wing sauce. The location is sus because why put a really nice store in the middle of the hood and just about everything taste off. I’m convinced this location is not selling us the packaged meat we think we are buying. I’m into food back and I cook often something is very off.

Great brand new grocery store. #1 thing to try is what I like to call Cake-In-A-Cup! It's by the bakery Just make sure to get one that was packaged that day or the day before. If it's any older than that then the cake gets way too mushy and the raspberries start getting pretty rank....

Visit ROUSES for a breakfast after finishing my shift volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul in Baton Rouge. The breakfast was good. Saw other items I purchased also. Store clean. Telling It Like it IS👍 TerryB 🦼

First of all I love Rouses. However, the small store on Bluebonnet in Baton Rouge falls short of the quality i have become used to. I will drive miles to go to larger Rouses rather than go to this small store. I wish they would allow me at no charge to fix this store. A good cleaning to begin, teach there boiler how to boil seafood, stock shelves on regular intervals, make sure meat and chicken or in there display without the customer having to ask if it is available and please bring it out from the back and although I have found some employees very friendly and willing to help, others or in need of training on customer service. Fresh Market which is a couple of blocks away does not carry brands that I like, however i will run in from time to time. Store is always clean, managers make it a point to speak to you, employees will go out of their way to help. This is what Rouses should strive for . They have mastered that in there larger stores but , if I had my name on the building I would want that level of...

Just visited for lunch and it took longer to check out than it did to shop because one of the three cashiers that was open didn’t have her light on, nor did she let anybody know that she was open. One guy eventually walked up and it turns out she was in the mood to do her job after all. I guess I don’t really blame a cashier for not caring, but the three managers at customer service that watched all of that go down while everybody is trying to get their lunch and get back to work definitely could’ve done something. As far as the food, it’s overpriced and underwhelming as usual. $12 for a single chicken thigh and a scoop of mac & cheese. I could justify the price of the hot bar if they had fried fish or something other than chicken every once in a while, but the value is not there compared to other plate lunch spots. The bakery’s Heath bar cookies always are always hitting, though! I’m addicted to those things, and it’s only $6 for...

Angel in the deli department was a sweetheart. I ordered a sandwich tray, jambalaya, and meatballs over the phone. However, the person who took my order had the wrong pick up date on the ticket. I arrived and nothing was ready. I had an event to get to within an hour. Angel understood and asked if I could wait 20 minutes and she could have everything ready. I watched her and her crew work quickly and effectively together to make sure I got my order as soon as possible. It was greatly appreciated. I understand mistakes happen but it’s about your actions after to correct things. Big thank you to Angel and her staffed. They deserve the...
