In years past the pool in battle Mountain was absolutely wonderful but unfortunately this time was different we came to town for a birthday. My mom is hypoglycemic and has a service dog. This is the second year shes had her service animal with her. Last year she had no trouble bringing her in with her. They asked if she was a service animal and let them in just fine she stayed under my moms legs in the party room and no problems. This year when we went inside an older woman immediately yelled at her that she can't bring her in and she did yell. When my mom tried to explain to her that she is a service animal she said "she does not look like a service animal" asking questions that are illigal to ask of a person with a service dog. Fortunately it was my cousins birthday party and we where able to leave her at my aunts house. (because we aren't from here) when I refused to talk to her and went into the party she turned to my siblings (between the ages of 10-17) and said "shes just pissed off about the dog" then at the end of the party we all where going to leave she asked my aunt if we cleaned up after ourselves and you know of course we did and she said "you have to sweep and mop too. I already swept and mopped before yalls party came in" when in fact she hadn't because when my aunt got there to set up she found three different soda bottles in the room. And when we swept there was food and things that no one from our party brought. The entire afternoon she was following different party's who where just trying to have a good time and where indeed following the rules. This lady not only refused entery to a service dog but lied and forced a customer to do her job. Oh and there where birds inside the pool side of the building. I dont know what happened but the pool used to never...
Read moreThe employees at the front desk are very helpful and polite. However the female life guards are rude and talk badly about and are critical of some of the parents. They speak loudly enough that the parents can hear . They are made to feel uncomfortable being there and therefore they take their children and leave. What a disappointment for the children. I am a visitor here and was offended at how my family was treated. These life guards don't know my family and don't know their circumstances, or why they are being so protective of their children. They need to stop judging people by their standards or at the very least keep their opinions to themselves in public setting. The children were not being abused in any way but the parents were made to feel like they were being harshly judged for their parenting choices. I would think twice about visiting your pool again just because of the way the female lifeguards treated ...
Read moreIt's one of the few fun things in the area, so you have that going for you. But the lifeguards are terrible. Everytime we have gone they just stare off into space bored, so much so other people have to help kids when they are in trouble. They also open all the doors like they're trying to freeze you out, which given their demeanor, wouldn't surprise me. The water is already pretty chilly so it makes it nearly unbearable, we've left early several times because my kid gets so...
