On our way back to Reno, we decided to stop for lunch at The HideAway Restaurant & Bar in Battle Mountain, Nevada. It turned out to be a fantastic choice! The food was absolutely delicious. We tried the Longhorn Burger and the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, and both were prepared to perfection. The Longhorn Burger was juicy and flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning. The Chipotle Chicken Sandwich had a wonderful smoky flavor and a nice kick of spice. The sweet potato fries were crispy and a perfect complement to the meal. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and provided great recommendations, our food arrived promptly, and we never felt rushed. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The restaurant has a casual vibe, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. We also appreciated the cleanliness and the comfortable seating. Overall, The HideAway Restaurant & Bar is a hidden gem in Battle Mountain. If you find yourself passing through, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal. You won’t be disappointed!

Read moreThe veggie pizza was decent though not spectacular, and it still tasted good for breakfast the next morning. It could use a second, or even a third, cheese and benefits greatly by the addition of parmesan cheese. It would probably be great with Feta cheese and maybe Muenster or Havarti added to the primary Mozarella. Anyway, I'd give the pizza 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. The service was prompt and friendly. I give the service a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It was good enough for me to return a few days later and try a burger. The Swiss Mushroom Jalapeno burger was excellent! So tasty! The hamburger was a strong 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. The service was as prompt as possible (I arrived at the tail end of the lunch rush apparently) and friendly despite being busy and seemingly short staffed for that many guests at the same time. Still, the server was in good spirits and responded promptly to every request. The wait was short and the food was good. I will return next time through Battle...
Read moreThis place has the kind of mediocre food and service you’d expect to find in a dusty Nevada desert town.
Food:“Garlic Bread” means slices of bread drenched in oil and slapped on the griddle until hard. “Garlic Fries” means regular fries sprinkled in pre minced oil/garlic making them soggy. My sweet potato fries were no warmer than room temperature.
Service: The food took seemingly forever to come. Burgers and pasta shouldn’t be difficult to make but and I had hoped given the amount of time we waited, we would have a tasty treat for dinner. This wasn’t the case. The food was mediocre at best. Our drinks seemed to be empty more than they were full. And after waiting an awkwardly long time to pay the bill, my patience ran out and I had approach the waitress and let her know we were ready to go.
All of this for a price 50% higher than what it should cost. (16$ for a burger!?)
Yikes. Not...
