The Quilt Parlor — Local services in Battle Mountain

I’ve traveled past their sign many times in the past five years and this was the first time I stopped. I’m sad that I missed all those times of being able to go there- seeing what they have and spend some money! Such a huge selection of fabric, tons of idea quilts and kits with friendly helpful staff. I only wish I lived closer so that I could go visit at least once a week. Or take a class or two! Luckily they do mail order. I was able to get some western fabric, which will go great in my i-spy quilts.

I highly recommend if you’re driving from Reno to Salt Lake or back that it’s a great place to stop and take a break and look at some amazing fabrics and kits. I try not to take photos at quilting shops because sometimes it’s seen as stealing ideas but I took the picture of the hours and the batiks to show my sister that they had such a huge selection....

Driving from Ohio to CA with no particular agenda, we opted to stop as we saw a sign for a quilt shop on I-80 west. What a delightful shop, lots of fabric choices. With help, I picked out delightful blue colors to make an apron, observed a class going on creating a wonderful batik star “Taos” pattern, and an employee whom you could tell by the conversation enjoyed being there. I visited this quilt shop while passing through Battle Mountain. The only bad thing about this shop is it is to far away from my home in Minnesota! The shop is very organize and offers many fabric options, along with notions and other craft options. The two ladies working were extremely friendly and helpful.
