Book Stan — Local services in Beaumont

Usually a great shop with fantastic owners. My last visit was unfortunately very poor, I will not be returning and warn all other collectors to stay away, do your business elsewhere.

I came in looking for some pokemon cards and saw they had multiple packs from different sets in stock, super excited since you literally can't find them anywhere. The advertised price was 5.99 per pack which is great, I made small talk with the owner while she rang me up and went on my way. After getting home I realized that she charged me $11 per pack, almost double the listed price. She must have thought I was a scalper and upcharged at the register, which is something I support 100%, get the scalpers out of the hobby. But you better be sure who your upcharging before screwing over honest collectors who were just excited to find cards on the shelf....

Yeah the old lady at the front is very rude. Me and my girlfriend who are avid d&d players recently left our previous party and most of our stuff was at their house. We want to start our own party and we're coming to get books, dice, figures, etc. and she was condescending and rude since the moment we walked through the door. My girlfriend wanted to use the bathroom and she made a snarky commentabout being quick and my gf asked to pet the dog and she said "you have time to pet the dog". Then I was holding my girlfriends drink, waiting at the front and the old hag was being rude and condescending to me about not putting her drink down at her desk. I don't trust you around my girlfriends drink. I'm not going to leave her drink unattended. This is also not my first bad experience here. Every time she has been rude. Never...

Best little Comic and game shop in Texas!

I used to buy comics here as a kid, and recently have been going back for D&D supplies and model paints.

The woman who runs it is super nice and friendly, and the selection for miniatures is vast, and priced just as well or even better than Amazon's prices.

There are also some super awesome vintage gems.

My friend picked up two Vintage Patches for Marvel's Secret wars, from the original comic run, still in the original packaging. They were 5$ each. When he got home they were selling on ebay for $50, and the ones on ebay weren't in the original packaging!
