Since I live fairly close I visit this market basket often and have never encountered any issues or bad experiences, with that being said tonight my experience was upsetting to say the least , after working a 12 hour shift OUTSIDE I ran into market basket to grab some change ,( i have a wrap around my head and I have on comfy shoes )i have gone plenty of times and grabbed a bar of candy or a slim Jim like tonight and recieved cash back cause NORMALLY the machine will ask you , BUT tonight for some reason it didn’t ask me and the transaction went thru , the cashier and I were both puzzled and so we tried again ,, and again it went thru but never asked me if I wanted cash back ,so at this point I asked if I could just get my money back( I was very polite ) she called the store manager ( VIC CASH ) walked over , we explained to him what happened and as he proceeded to refunded my money He rudely implied that” MAYBE I didn’t have any money in my account ? Cause it’s definitely not his machine ….. “ I then explained to him that I used 2 different cards if you have to give me a refund clearly there is money on BOTH cards 🥴 The machine did not say INSUFFICIENT FUNDS it just wouldn’t give me the option to get money which I have done hundreds of times ,… with this being the only store near me since I live off of tram rd I am highly disappointed instead of him apologizing for the inconvenience and trying to rectify the situation he showed his true colors of judgment probably cause the way I was dressed needless to say Store managers like him are the reason I got out of management after 10 plus years , That was completely unacceptable and needless to say I will take that extra 5 mins to go to krogers this type of customer service is not a good look for a store that is...
Read moreWent in and got ice cream for my mother during the last 15 minutes until closing and the manager and another employee (skinny dark skin black girl with glasses wearing long big braids) was gossiping about men with I'm assuming a manager (some chubby white lady who looked like she was in her late 30s to early 40s wearing a blue button down shirt) as I approached the cash register. She watched other people walking in during the last ten minutes and said aloud in front of ME "Ion know why they coming in so MFing late"! I couldn't help but give her a glare, which prompted her to simply respond with "sorry". I was truly shocked that she was so BOLD. This is the 1st negative experience I've had there, and I honestly don't wish to ever return after hearing this employee talk so harshly with profanities about another customer RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. Read moreNeeds new management. I've been going to chain my whole life and loved it, but the management here lacks customer service and is very rude. Three times we have been checked out by this manager. We use their rewards points on occasion because we usually have around 9-10,000. He has twice said loudly to us "oh I guess we are trying to get something free today huh". He shoved our food across the belt. His face was red. He's short, portly and has a beard. I will get his name next time and I'm calling Nederland about him . 105 has some of the rudest managers there all the time, and it didn't used to be that way. I go to the other locations now .MB values on customer service "because that's who they are" slogan. Their managers need to take a customer service...
