So let me tell you what happened. I arrive there one afternoon recently as a solo diner. I grab a table to sit and wait patiently for a server. Every table except mine is unbussed, so I figure it's a busy day. I'm not in a rush. Someone starts bussing tables, including one behind where I'm already sitting. Cool. I'm already sitting and looking at the menu. An older white couple sits at the newly cleaned table behind me (I didn't know this until a few mins later). A server comes up to me to take my order and apologizes for the wait but he is stopped (presumably by a manager) saying that the white couple got there first so they "need" to have their order taken first. I look back (didn't know there were people there until now) and see the couple. The server also looks surprised and clearly uncomfortable with having to leave me to take care of them. The [manager] tells him again so he follows the order and apologizes to me a second time to go over to the table. He returns after taking their order and takes mine after apologizing for a third time. I tell him it's ok. We are both uncomfortable and frustrated. Did I get my food? Yes. Was the server great? Yes. Did things have to happen that way? Absolutely not. Just because an older white couple enters a space doesn't mean they get special treatment over a younger Black man. What year is this?? Ā Ā Ā Read moreHate it totally the manager made us have a horrible experience she denied us service just because we wanted to go order dont understand restaurant policy we order to go and my uncle that was their before us had a table told me i could wait sitted on his table so she (the manager cause she simmed to be it she had a white shirt the rest are gray) approch us to tell me if i was going to sit I had to wait on waitress to come and retake my order that just makes no sence at all ...I told her i want my food the fastes i dont care if i have to leave than she said i need to know if your staying or leaving cause if your staying you need to wait on waitres to take your order I told her this is my uncle he already placed and order to stay it was a small table my uncle was with 3 more guys two were on the bench near the kitchen area my uncle and his friend on the table two person table even when i explaind that to her 3 times told her i just need my order ready the quikest possible I had ordered 5 all star plates well i just ended up leaving my uncle got mad and left too we were 8 adults and 3 kids my kids really wanted waffles from here but we just couldnt understand why she just deniend to keep our order to go.. just because I was sitted on my uncles table just not right sge did not even apologize at least the waitress did on our way out .. what so ever he had really good tasting breakfast at Habanero grill best "chilaquiles" ever yall need...

I called to report that my order was made wrong and they asked me to return with the food even though I had my reciept. I have eaten here, literally all my life, faithfully and have never been asked to return the food if my order was wrong. I have no way to refrigerate this mess up and was willing to return but couldn't do so at this time. Then they were rude about it. 1st off let me explain that the messed up order was a $3 item. Secondly, as I've said before I had no way to store it so I threw it away and lastly I've never been asked to return the food to this nor any other restaurant. It was the cook's mistake that the waitress did not catch and I was using my gas to cross town for it to be fixed. I've been a loyal customer for years but my business, high dollar at that, is now going to IHOP. Its not the money but the principal. 1. You were rude 2.
