Oasis Thrift Store — Local services in Beaumont

We moved and brought items with us we thought would fit in our new place, but we ended up donating several boxes of good items instead. Rang the bell a guy comes out, out only because he was helping a customer with a small end table. The young man never even acknowledged me standing just a few feet away from him. So, as he’s walking back into the store, I said “excuse me” 3 times and finally shouted “Hello” and he finally turned around and said just leave the items there! There’s a sign that says “do not leave items without someone in attendance.” I wanted to check out the store anyway, so I let the cashier know that I had dropped off the items and I didn’t want to leave the items unattended..she said “it’s fine, just leave them out there!” Neither one of them even said “thank you for your donation!” Anyway, I thought maybe they were just short staffed and not having a good day, so a week later my husband and I go back because I had seen some lamps that I liked and again, just not very friendly staff. For a store that depends on donations and customers, they really need to be a little friendlier and more appreciative of their clientele! I gave them 2 stars because they do have a good selection of reasonably priced...

I bought a small 3ft by 2ft shelf and had very limited space in my car so I asked the older lady (manager) if I can pick it up later and she said I had to pick it up before they close on that day. When I witnessed her tell another customer (weeks back) she can pick it up on Monday (2 days later) I also have 2 finger splints on my left hand and she took it upon herself to add, "And no one can help you." I dont know if she was having a bad day, in need of a cigarette (shes a chain smoker) or why she decided to target me. I've noticed on my past visits shes unprofessional, argues and shouts at customers. In short, I didnt need anyone to help me, I have use of my prominent right hand, and I never asked for help. I too will NOT return to this store. The manager is unprofessional and rude.This experience has prompted me to look into opening a thrift store...
