So I have been coming to this practice for well over 12 years never once had an issue until today. I was there on Tuesday August 15, 2023 to have mine and my daughters teeth cleaned. During that visit, the hygienist was cleaning my teeth and I could tell she nicked the bottom of my tooth which I have a permanent retainer on the bottom of my teeth. I pointed it out to her and she said she was sorry little did I know she scraped some of the glue off of my retainer a few days later I noticed that my tongue was rubbing the bottom of the retainer so Monday morning l, today I called i told them what happened they had me come in. the glue was missing from my retainer instead of honoring their work especially since I’ve been coming there for over 12 years they wanted to discount the price from one $150$ to 75$ Why should I have to pay for something your employee messed up that makes no sense. I’ve never had this happen. I’ve had my retainer for a little while and with them discounting the price shows that they know that they messed up but why should I have to pay anything at all for something you caused then the lady wants to tell me. well the hygienist has been here for years and I know that if she would have done that she would’ve noted it. are you serious nobody admits fault for anything and considering I’ve been coming there for over 12 years shows that I’m a loyal customer and I’ve definitely been there longer than your hygienist and it would’ve took 10 minutes to fix y’all’s mess up but now I will no longer be coming there. My daughter will no longer be coming there and my husband will no longer be coming there so you will not receive any money for me at all anymore so all that money you’ve been getting for over 12 years now will no longer happen because that goes to show me that when y’all do mess something else up with my teeth y’all are not gonna honor it instead you’re gonna want me to pay for your mistake! Do better!!!!! And this is just FYI for the people that continue to book appointments with them you better watch yourself, or maybe record all of your interactions with these people because if something happens with your teeth, they will not take liability for it!

Absolutely an unusual occurrence in today's world!!
I searched online for a dentist, read the reviews and decided on Southern Oaks.
~I called late afternoon and a LIVE person answered the phone on the 1st ring...unbelievable!
~She was pleasant, efficient and genuinely friendly and offered me an appt the very next morning bc they had a cancelation...the stars lined up!
~When I hung up, I had a text to register and complete paperwork online and it was so easy to sign on and navigate the app...unbelievable!
~I arrived the next morning and the whole vibe was "we are here for you". Greeted with a friendly smile and easy checkin!
~Didn't wait long at all and was roomed and Shauna was warm and inviting, did my intake and xrays with such ease...actually, communicated with me and kept me informed on wait for doctor.
~Doctor glides in with the same friendly vibe with a smile and very attentive to my issue. He actually listened and took the time to pinpoint and correct the issue with exceptional skill and competence.
Southern Oaks is definitely a gem that has great customer service with highly skilled and competent care! Thanks for reminding me that as a patient and a consumer that I can get both...

I went back because they had an opening for me when I was in a pinch and they accepted my insurance. I was first of all so impressed by the front desk staff and how kind they all were about the whole situation--I needed some emergent dental work and was in a world of pain. Then, the dentist that came in and explained the situation and my x-rays was thorough at explaining everything while still being sensitive to the fact that this was a really big ordeal--I ended up getting an extraction that day.
I'm leaving a review because the doctor didn't use doom and gloom tactics to get me to do a procedure, he explained things well and even assured me that if there was pain at any point I could let him or the nurse know. It was a pretty painless experience and made me look forward to going back for my cleaning and x-rays. I don't know what happened to that other dentist and maybe I won't see them again, but I'm very grateful for the dentist that performed my procedure! It changed my mind about the office. Give...
