I always loved Checkers, but the display I received after leaving the ER today was ridiculous. After leaving Baptist Hospital decided to stop at Checkers to get my son something to eat got to the window (I'm only using skin tones because I didn't get their names) The brown skinned lady at seemed confused about our order but we was the only ones in line, the dark skinned lady came over and got everything right. The wife and I decided to go down the street to Luby's to get something to eat, but once we got there we decided to go back to Checkers. When we returned Checkers and got to the window the same browned skinned lady was at the other window staring a hole into my forehead so she finally came over and I gave her money. You may as well say she push the drinks and food into my hand like I started an issue with her. Then she hurried and shut the window, mind you I was trying to ask for ketchup & paper towels. So I sat there for a second thinking she was going to reopen the window, but she never did. I finally waved my hand and the other lady pointed and the browned skinned lady turned around and rolled her eyes as far as they could go into the back of her head and looked through the window and said "WHAT". I ask for what I needed some ketchup & paper towels (mind you there's 4 people in the vehicle) she gave me 3 ketchup and as I was saying God Bless have a great day she slammed the window again. Her bad display of customer service will not stop me from visiting Checkers, but it will stop me from visiting this location. The GM or Franchise owner of this location need to send a family member through drive thru so they can see this in action. I tell my employees all the time if you're having a bad day & you can't put on a happy face and deliver excellent customer service stay home because at the end of the day. The customer will not remember you personally, but they will remember the company it happened at. Checkers 11th Street Store #5495 Cashier 101
Read moreGood customer service and food is almost always right. Prices are fair UPDATE: WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS! Went Jan 16, 2020 around 330pm. Spent a little over 30 bucks and EVERYTHING, I MEAN EVERYTHING Tasted STALE and wasn't even hot! The double fish burger was the most horrible rubber disgust EVER! With greasy bread and what looked like day old tartar sauce (see photos) I am furious and frustrated to have spent that much money, and have received the quality of food I received! ALSO, I NOTICED WHEN I CAME TO CHANGE MY RATING FROM THREE TO ONE (I'd give zero, but I couldn't) that the owner has ONLY responded to ppl who gave excellent reviews (4 and 5 stars)... MAYBE THAT'S THE PROBLEM. APPRECIATE THE GOOD REVIEWS, YES! BUT DEFINITELY ADDRESS THE BAD REVIEWS AVS ISSUES THAT CUSTOMERS TAKE THEIR TIME TO BRING TO YOUR ATTENTION. Why are you neglecting to comment on those reviews sir, or ma'am? Don't you want to provide great customer service? Do your customers not deserve quality service and food? Doesn't their business matter to you? Please, let me know. Until then, WE...
Read moreI really like the Checkers on Calder and 11th Street. Today, after receiving my order, I was driving off and the cashier/server knocked on my car. I rolled my window down and she asked, "How much money did I give you back?" I replied, "$10." She asked me to backup to the window and she gave me another $5. I thought that she had give me a $10 and a $5 when I was driving off. Now, that's true service don't you think. I wish thay I would have gotten her name. My favorite meal is #10, the Hotdog meal with lemonade. I know that this is long, however, I was driving to Houston down HWY 90, in Devers. I stopped at the Checkers drive through, ordered my favorite #10. It took a little longer than it should have. I paid and was on my way. I made it to the next town, not too far, and took out my hot dog. The chili was warm, but the weiner was cold as ice. I feel like it was a joke on someone's part. I have never been back since and won't go back ever again. They should pride themselves on serving customers a hot meal. So, YEA!!! for the Beaumont Checkers and NAY!!! for the...
