Meko Yoga and Wellness has been like a second home to not only me, but my entire family. I was so excited to hear of their opening in Chippewa when they first opened that I attended the open house. I loved the whole vibe I felt when I was there and it was an amazing class, but Iâve always practiced hot yoga. So I asked the owner if she would be holding heated classes and she said not yet. đ Well a few years later Meko relocated to where their current studio is now and they put in a heated studio!! I have been practicing in the heat since I learned of this new space! Iâm so grateful that there is a local, family owned yoga studio that I can practice hot yoga! My two sons attend the kids yoga class weekly and itâs been such a gift to watch them grow in their own yoga journey both physically and mentally.
This is a small example of how this business is continually listening to customers and always striving for growth! In the last two years they have added so many other incredible wellness apparatusesâŚcold plunge, rebounding, Buti yogaâŚjust to name a few of my favorites. âşď¸
Those are some examples of the physical benefits you get from going to Meko, but just as important are the friendships and bonds Iâve built in this community. Some of my closest friendships have come through Meko. Theyâve helped me heal deep parts of myself that I didnât even know were hidden. Ohhh and the RETREATS that are offered through this place!! Meko has made it possible for me travel to the most amazing parts of the world and push myself to grow in every way possible, all while laughing more than I ever have! đ
As a business owner myself, I know the blood sweat and tears that go into running a business. Elizabeth pours 110% of herself into Meko Yoga every single day! She is humble, fair, GENEROUS, hysterical, and one of the strongest women Iâve been blessed to know.
I love Meko. Itâs time I stop gatekeeping this hidden gem in Beaver...
Read moreWent once for hot yoga and absolutely adored it. Booked myself and a friend to try the rebound class on Tuesday evening at 6pm but there was a severe weather/tornado watch. I called at 4:30 to see if they were still having the 6pm class since the 4:30 was cancelled. They said they were but theyâd let me know if it got cancelled. Starting to get nervous while I was driving my daughter to a sitter, I asked if they could make an exception to the 2 hour cancellation policy due to the severe weather and the fact they already cancelled the 4:30 class - I didnât want to brave the weather with my daughter for it to be cancelled. I was told, sure, we will return your passes so I returned home and my power went out shortly after. Within the next 15 minutes, I got a call back which I couldnât answer due to the chaos of a toddler and a severe storm taking out the power⌠they left a voicemail that they couldnât give me my passes back because owner said they had to stick by policy despite what they had already told me. okay, I understand. So I got into the app to ensure we were still signed up for the class. No, they cancelled my reservation. I called to ask if I could still attend since they couldnât return my pass and I was told - No, because of policy, Iâd have to rebook and pay a second time for my friend and I. I made the argument that I wouldnât have let them cancel my reservations if I wasnât told theyâd make an exception for me and return my passes and around 5:30 I was told that I was âpermittedâ to attend the 6 pm class that I had originally reserved. Forget it. Super disappointing. I cancelled the rest of the classes I had signed up for and will go somewhere with more empathy and less drama. To commit to one thing over an unexpected event and then back track .. If the owner is that hard up for $30, Iâm glad I didnât get...
Read moreI have been an unlimited monthly member of meko since the yoga studio moved into chippewa. First of all, ( the owner) Elizabeth's knowledge is vast , and her "bedside" manner of explaining how each of the services Meko offers is spot on. I love that she changes things up and keeps things interesting. She is great about exploring different classes, and making improvements to the buisness. She constantly strives to improve her clients experience. I have taken just about every class that is offered and have used all of the wellness services (except cryo, because I don't like cold). The instructors are all very different in their approach's and I've learned so much from all of them. They are always kind and open to explaining things, and are experts at keeping the environment positive. The front desk girls are so welcoming and always eager to answer any questions you have. They too keep the environment very positive. We are so very lucky to have this buisness here in the area! If you are in the area stop in! It's a great place to improve...
