Chilly Willy Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in Beaver Falls

My family and I were on a road trip, and since our next stop was in Pennsylvania, we decided to stop somewhere for a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. We were not going as far as Philadelphia, so I looked up some places around the western part of Pennsylvania. I looked up places with Google Maps and read Google Reviews, and my research led us to Chilly Willy's!

The location is ideal, as is it about 10 minutes from the interstate. It was a Thursday at about 3pm, so there was plenty of parking, and we had the place to ourselves for most of our visit. Upon walking in, we were greeted by Willy himself, which was such a treat. He appreciated us choosing his establishment for a Philly cheesesteak, and proceeded to explain the menu options to us.

We ordered the #1 Steak Deluxe, #2 Cheesesteak, onions rings, and a kids chicken nugget meal. Willy brought the food out to us, and hooked us up with some extra fries. Everyone was happy with their food! The portion sizes are very generous, especially the amount of steak on the sandwiches. The meat is sliced perfectly, and the way the cheese is melted into the meat is mouth-watering. My daughter said the nuggets were the best she's ever had, and that the steak was delicious! My husband said the onion rings were breaded just right, and we all enjoyed the tasty fries. Of course, we had to get the water ice. We got mango and cotton candy, and both were refreshing!

During our time in the restaurant, Willy kept checking in on us, and made sure we were satisfied. He was so friendly and welcoming; we were glad we chose his establishment for our random food stop in Pennsylvania. My husband even bought a Chilly Willy t-shirt before we left! We would definitely go back during our next road trip! We highly recommend Chilly Willy's if you are looking for great food, service, and wanting to support local business!

After 4+ months after hearing about Chilly Willy's, my wife and I finally had time and drove 31 minutes to try Chilly Willy's. Easy to sum it up, hands down the best Philly Cheese Steak hoagie within hours of a drive from downtown BURG (see below:)

Food: I got 2 Steak Deluxe's and 3 orders of fries with cheese on the side. The fries, as we all know don’t travel well and we knew that but that being said...they are good, plentiful per order and your typical cheese whiz, can’t go wrong with that. Ok to the main event...The Cheese Steak Hoagies!!! Wow, tremendous!! Perfectly cooked steak (plentiful) and the vegetables (onion, peppers, mushrooms) were spot on as well. On a great roll with white American cheese melted throughout. I myself have eaten plenty of Cheese Steak hoagies in the BURG and from Philly...but no one does it better than Willy!

Service: My first time there (doing take-out) my phone call was answered in a friendly timely manner and my order was taking smoothly and verified (I like that). Upon my arrival I was greeted by a very friendly person that was carrying a bag of food (mine) from the kitchen. He asked my name for the order which I gave and he said perfect timing with a smile. I told him I've heard great things and read some great reviews about you (yinz) guys it smells like it was worth the drive. He replies I’m not responsible for your gas money but these hoagies are addicting. Well Willy...thanks they are!!! I'll be back for sure a few times a month if not more. Just in the brief interaction with Willy he seems to be a great genuine person. All the best to Willy...

WOW! My fiancé and I were thoroughly impressed with Chilly Willy’s and they definitely live up to their 5-star review standards.

Food: we got onion rings, a cheesesteak with just cheese and steak, a Big Ben cheesesteak, a water and a soda for around $36. It was all worth the price. The steak was super thin and chopped up into bite size pieces, and wasn’t greasy or soggy on the bun. It had just the right amount of seasoning or flavoring on it too. The buns were fresh and tasted great, and the onion rings were fried to perfection. When you bit into the onion rings, you heard a “crunch”, so they were fried beautifully.

Staff/Owner Interactions: absolutely AMAZING! What wonderful people they have. I believe the owner took our order and he asked us if it was our first time, which it was. He gave us suggestions on his top sellers and what he would personally choose. He also came back after we got our meal to see what we thought, and was generally just a nice guy (he smiled and was very interactive from the start). When our food was ready, the cook came out and delivered it right to our table. Really nice guy as well.

Overall, the food was great and so was the staff. It’s hard to find great customer service and good food so we were happy we found this place! We also loved the ambiance of the place - they had a garage door, a scoreboard, pictures of each sandwich, specials on a board, and lots of photos of volunteer work. It really is a special place with great food - 10/10...
