Before I ended up purchasing a new car, I had done a lot of research over the course of year, and felt really confident about purchasing a Genesis. I could not have been more wrong. It all really started when they first delivered my car with a malfunctioning headlight, that still to this day is not fixed (1.5 years later). To the dealerships valet service scratching my wheels over and over again, to my car being damaged while in their possession and Genesis refusing to fix it. To mice eating out the insulation surrounding my fuel line, which lead to the mice eating the fuel line, causing the fuel to shoot out of the top of the motor, almost catching my car on fire. Genesis is using soy based insulation that is known for attracting mice, Genesis refused to cover the damage under the manufacture warranty despite the fact they have numerous lawsuits about this issue, not including the fact that Genesis does not disclose this at the time of purchase. Genesis tried to charge me 1,100.00 dollars to fix this, I ended up taking to another shop who replaced the fuel line with OEM Genesis parts for 375.00. Genesis connected services did end up paying for this in gift cards given for āother reasonsā but with the understanding it was to cover the shop fee of 375.00. I honestly couldnāt be more disappointed in the lack of true information on the Internet about these vehicles. Lastly do not purchase their extended warranty. Iāve gone back and forth about suing Genesis. Ultimately, all I ever wanted was a good reliable vehicle, and a dealership with good customer service that valued me. Unfortunately that did not happen. Beware of purchasing a Genesis. For any potential customer I have attached only a few pictures of the damages caused from the insulation that Genesis uses to this day, the other few photos are of the damaged that happened to my car while in the care of the Genesis of Portland dealership. Most of which they refuse to fix despite having before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast week I purchased a 2021 tundra from genesis of Portland. My experience working with Moon was good. He was quick to respond to my questions and when I arrived he was quick to greet me and my wife. While checking out the truck, I noticed multiple scratches both driver and passenger side, I was ready to walk. A few moments later, the detail crew took a look and said no problem, we can get all those out by the time youāre done signing paperwork. I am leaving 1 star due to a few issues I had AFTER signing that is costing me quite a bit of money.. 1st thing, while walking out to drive away in a truck that cost me 40k+, I was handed a single key, no fob, no spare, nothing. I asked what the deal was and they stated thatās what they got on trade in. A few hours after the deal I had quite a bit of heartburn over this and reached out. I still have not gotten a response from the dealer. 2nd thing, itās winter, this truck has been on the lot for a few weeks now, itās rained while itās been at the dealership. It had not rained since I bought the truck until Saturday 12/7. When I opened the door after this rain, the driver seat was soaked, headliner at the windshield soaked. Assuming this is a bad windshield seal that the dealer knew about but who knows.. I currently have plastic sitting at the windshield to keep the interior from being further soaked. ( see pics ) Iāve literally had this truck a week and between the keys and the windshield Iāll be spending over a grand to make things right. I would never refer any friend or family member to buy from this...
