Do not purchase a car at Northeast Auto Gallery. I made the huge mistake of purchasing a car from this deceptive used car company. Three weeks after I purchased my vehicle it was towed to a dealership with $3000 worth of repairs. Prior to towing my car to the dealer a local shop (Northfield Tire) attempted to fix the repairs which resulted in the car not starting. I spoke to Eric and Mila at Northeast Auto Gallery and explained to them what had happened and since they sold me on their "honest reputation" I asked them on their end what they were going to do to help with the costs. The dealer made it very clear that someone "sold me a problem, unloaded a problem vehicle on to me". Eric wanted me to pay to have my car towed to a car shop of his choosing and said he would see what the issues were and he would help out a bit. I contacted the shop he said I had to take my car to if I wanted any help from him and the shop could not guarantee they could fix the car. The car had already been at the dealer for two weeks, a diagnostic was run, and parts were ordered. I would have had to pay the dealer for the work they already put in and then pay to have the car towed to a shop where they could not guarantee they could fix it and not knowing the cost or how much Eric was willing to help out with. I asked Eric again to help with the cost but he refused. The car was fixed a week later which resulted in a cost of $3000. Northfield Tire was honest, they paid $1200 of that bill as they felt partly responsible for me bringing in the car running and having to tow it out, however Northfield Tire was really an innocent bystander in this situation. I paid the remaining balance. Northeast Auto Gallery claims they drive the cars home each night and inspect the vehicles. My car suffered extensive water damage. Several modules and the ECM had to be replaced due to rust from years of water damage due to leaks in the drainage tubes. The headlights are also a huge issue. You cannot see at night unless you have the high beams on. If this car was driven home at night, someone would have noticed this issue and found out that my car headlights were part of a class action law suit to be replaced. The owner never replaced the lights and now I will have to pay out of pocket again to have the lights replaced. Not just the headlights, the entire light system. Eric was very rude and claimed that if I could not afford a used car I should have not bought one and that all their cars on the lot have water leakage issues. If this was an "honest reputable company" they would provide a 30 day money back guarantee on all their vehicles. But no, Northeast Auto Gallery pushes the sale of a very poor, low rated extended warranty purchase. Please do yourself a financial favor and do not purchase a vehicle from Northeast Auto Gallery. I wish I would have known the financial burden this would have cost me. By the way, I made it very clear to Mila that I am a single mom with two kids and that I needed a reliable vehicle that I can keep for years to come and won't financially destroy me. They don't care, they promise their "honest reputation" which is all lies. They will say anything to get a sale, then they will treat you like garbage once they have your money and leave you financially destroyed. Also, they sell you a car on an empty tank of gas, and give you a $25 gas card if you write a positive google review in front of them before you drive...
Read moreI don’t believe these folks are out to scam you but there are plenty of dealerships out there who care about customer service. I can tell you these folks don’t.
After my temporary plate from the dealer expired on my 2016 murano I still hadn’t received a title or permanent registration. I emailed and asked because typically I receive plates and title in the mail from every other dealer I’ve worked with.
I asked specifically how to get my plates. They said, “oops, we never sent that to the bank.” I thought that strange but after a few more days of hearing anything I reached out again. They curtly told me “everything is at the bank. Talk to them.”
I contacted the bank and they told me they had the title but it was the dealers job to register plates for my vehicle.
Friend, I went back and forth like this for THREE weeks. Never an apology. Never a “so sorry for the mix up.” never even did the person on the other side of the email even tell me their name! I have no idea who I was working with.
Finally, they told me they fedex my title overnight. But they didn’t send it to me at all but to my Secretary of State (without telling me). Once again I asked them how I was supposed to go about getting my plates. There response? “We don’t do out of state plates you have to take care of that yourself.”
I’ve never bought a car out of state. And one of the two of us is a professional at selling cars. Instead of 3 weeks of headaches, they could have easily given that information the very first time I asked. But, it seems that customer service is not a priority with them. They may say so but they sure didn’t deliver.
Finally, the car had a check engine light on one day after driving it along with needing new brakes and shocks. I totally understand used cars and I did buy without warranty so I’m not upset about that. It’s just that some of these things are really simple and cheap fixes for the dealer to do upon initial inspection. But they don’t do that here. They may say “it looked good when we sold it.” But leaking shocks and severely worn brakes don’t happen overnight.
Like I said, I don’t believe they are scamming people. But they don’t take care of their cars or their customers. There are hundreds of other dealers in the area who do. Try one of...
Read moreWell, let’s see where do I begin. So I recently bought 2012 s550 from here, initially the first time I drove up they told me the car was there and she didn’t realize it wasn’t there so I made the two and half hike from Pittsburgh….. Then I returned for a 3rd time when they finally had the vehicle present. I took it for a test ride everything seemed functional. So I became very interested and decided to buy it albeit I DID ASK THEM VERBATIM IF THIS CAR WAS IN PERFECT SHAPE, ERIC TOLD ME YES! I even had Eric produce a letter stating the fact. Two months later I’m learning the following issues car needed front end work done. 4 new tires, wouldn’t pass inspection, spark plugs and coils, daytime running lights, door handle bad, rotors and pads need replaced seat actuator bad and this vehicle was not cheap. I initially thought this dealership was credible, NOT! BUYER BEWARE PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK! STAY AWAY, THEY ONLY DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO THINKING YOU WONT SEE HIDDEN ISSUES UNTIL LATER! I HAVE RETAINED A LAWYER FOR THIS. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BUY FROM, THEY WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE IN A COURT OF LAW!
1-15-2024 So this is my follow up to my vehicle that I purchased.... The Car is a wash! Spoke to Eric this evening....his response to me initially was, the car is a 2012, it has 120,000 miles which it doesn't. Eric was more concerned with my first review that I wrote two months after I purchased the vehicle. He was not concerned with the vehicle at all! The warranty that I purchased covers nothing (buyer beware). And my take-away from today's conversation is this "The seller had absolutely no concern for the vehicle, and I personally felt like he was gleaming while speaking to me on the phone. Best of luck to anyone who buys from...
