This ranks as one of the worst dining & customer service experiences I ever encountered. Where do I start...
We waited & waited much too long for the server to acknowledge us. It had been a very difficult day for me, and so my friend was trying to end my day nicely.
When she did arrive, she did not take our order. She (without apology) stated that she had to service the bar area patrons. It was jam-packed on the other side where the bar is located.
She returned to our area several times without looking at us yet leaning over, giggling, & giving much attendance to a table of 6 right next to us.
Meanwhile, a gentleman brought the chips & and salsa. We ordered a side of Cilantro & Pico de Gallo. A long time later, she returned with him and proceeded to translate our request. The side finally arrived, but without the bowls we had asked for.
She finally took our order. When the food was delivered, mine was a completely different entree. My friend's order (fajitas) was obviously very short on chicken & appeared to have been precooked & not fresh. The server who delivered it INSISTED that I had ordered this wrong entree, literally telling me that what was in front of me was the same thing I repeated to her that I had ordered! She finally picked up the plate, obviously exasperated. My extra order of a side of beans was not dropped off as she pointed to the plate, saying beans were under there!
Again, our waiter never appeared at our table but spent a lot of time with the table of 6. Finally, my correct order arrived with cold beans & without the extra cheese I had ordered.
Picture this scene: all the while we are battling fruit flies. A few at first, which was bad enough, but once the food was put down, we were swarming with them. We had to cover our beverages, chips, salsa, sides, & plates with napkins as we: a) was still waiting on the manager to fix the chicken issue for my friends entree and b) for my beans. At this point, we were incredulous to all of these occurances!
The manager finally appears. She brings a new batch of chicken for my friends' fajitas. She said she was doing a new batch of beans but instead brought the same ones smothered in half melted cheese.
The manager exclaimed & explained that the fruit fly issue must be an Ohio thing!" She went on the say that she "had recently moved here and where she came from had no such problem. " She told us that, "spray every morning, and they every might, and they pour bleach down the drains as was suggested to her."
So! The fruit flies won! They landed in my food and the carryout boxes. Once we were able to get the manager back, she examined my dish and the carry out boxes. She said,"Oh! They are natural so it is okay" as she was walking away.... I said, "Are you literally telling me to eat around the bugs because they are natural??" She grabbed our check in a huff, saying, "ok! Fine!" She returned after a long while with a new check that, although had my entree removed now, had extra charges for the chicken, etc...!
And to top all of this off, our waiter returned and said, "All of our tables received good service and were happy!" I asked her to repeat it because I was not quite sure of her meaning. With a smirk, she said, "We were the only ones! Everyone...
Read moreLos Gallos= El terrible tiempo. This place has officially gone down the bano, after having not been in some time and hearing they were under new management I figured I would give them another try... THAT'S where I made my first mistake. The staff there are very rude, complacent, and lack delegation of accountability. Upon arrival I shortly witnessed a dissatisfied customers interaction with the staff as they were leaving, the staff seemed smug and nonchalant about the whole situation, even going as far as the gentleman bartender saying "Oh well, I'm used to it" Still... I wrote it off and continued to wait to be serviced. I ordered a drink and placed my dinner order, upon waiting for my dinner order to arrive I placed an order for another drink(we'll get back to that!) After receiving my food, I realized the order was wrong, the whole tables order was wrong. I felt bad for the server who was clearly new, and clearly not receiving ANY help or guidance from the fellow staff members. They were on their phones, and could be overheard complaining about their shift. After eating I asked for the check, the poor server was trying to figure out the tables checks and who had what, she was talking to the dark haired female bartender (asked what her name was and was told, "shes my boss" no name, her name is "E".) The female bartender or "boss" has THEE worst customer service skills EVER! She took our checks from the server and rang us up for whatever she wanted. Needless to say the checks were wrong. Oh yea, I was also charged for the second drink I ordered and never received. The "boss" was unapologetic and showed no empathy to the error that had been made instead she proceeded to roll her eyes and showed signs of aggravation when another patron at the table helped the server with correcting the checks. When the server brought her the corrected checks she could be heard saying in a sarcastic manner "Mmmm, well wasn't it nice of them to help you." I unfortunately must say that this experience has deterred me from coming back, and I will most definitely be sharing my experience with everyone I know, and anyone who says they might be going there to eat. Would highly...
Read more“Edna” (the Manager apparently) was EXTREMELY RUDE! Me and my husband were seated pretty much right away and that was the only pleasant part of our horrible experience. After we were seated, our drinks were taken.... 10-15 minutes later we were finally asked what we wanted to order. We ordered the lunch special and you have a choice of mexican rice or bean. When I told her I only wanted the rice, her reply with a dry tone was “We only have rice so..” Ok no problem. Perfect. I let that go. When our food came we were never checked on to see if we needed anything until she say my husband’s plate was clean. When she came over to grab his plates, another customer next to us asked for her assistance. The look on her face was as if they were inconveniencing her when all she could have said is “one moment” since she was in the middle of doing something. Very understandable if you were the other customer right.? We watched her as she went to 2 other tables with the same attitude which made our experience even worse. When we finally got our check, she asked us if we needed our change. BIG PET PEEVE.! Don’t ask me if I want my change. You never know what someone has to tip you and that change may be in conjunction with whatever is deserved. At that point I’d seen enough and asked for my change back. Moments later, she walked past our table twice chucking and making smart remarks. About what, idk but I was ready to go.! My husband asked her if she was having a bad day and her smart alloc response sent me through the roof. So I looked at her like she was crazy.! When I did so her response was “Do you have a problem.?” My response of course was that it seemed to be her who has a problem and I let her know that we’d had a horrible experience from her and asked who her manager was. She was on an extreme high horse when she revealed the fact that she was the manager and that no one but her brother was over her. Her words got more rude from there and we had an extensive exchange of words. I will NEVER go back or recommend this place because of her. The prices are cheap and clearly you get what you pay for. Still doesn’t excuse the poor service...
