Ah, yes, Burger King. Wildly inconsistent in terms of food and service.
Getting drive-thru? Be warned: After paying, you may be asked to pull around to the front of the restaurant to park in a handicap space while they prepare your food. Once parked, expect to wait up to an hour for your food -- they move at a leisurely pace.
You're right -- probably better to just go inside and order. Walk up to one of their kiosks. The floor is sticky beneath your feet. The kiosk screen is clouded with the fingerprints of the hundreds of customers that preceded you (maybe bring some of that good ol' hand sanitizer). Order's in? Congratulations -- now you may only have to wait fifteen minutes.
Did you order a fountain drink? Go ahead and pour it up at their fountain drink machine. Yeah, the button's sticky. Yeah, the screen is smudgy with fingerprints. Yeah, the screen does not respond to your touch. Yeah, it's likely they won't have the flavor you want. It's fine. Settle for your fourth choice and move on. Food's ready. You might say thank you, and they may ignore you.
No, no. You aren't going to eat here. There's trash on the floor; a napkin here, a straw wrapper there. The table tops are sticky. It feels kind of gross. You'll eat in your car. You'd take it home to eat, but you don't want others to know what you've done.
Yes, these are all observations from my worst experiences at Bedford Burger King.
They appear to have a hard time retaining good employees. It seems every month or two there's an entirely new crew running the place. Workers sometimes appear in tired street clothes, or unlaundered uniforms, raising the specter of bad employee hygiene.
All this being said, there are occasions on which I am greeted warmly and served immediately. My order is correct, my food is hot and delicious, the staff are friendly and polite, and I get to thinking, "Hey, maybe they're turning things around in there. Thank goodness."
And then I go in a week or two later, and it's not so good. They forget parts of my order. The fries are limp and cold. I'm waiting a long time. I hate to say it, but these experiences occur a lot more frequently than the good ones.
I think that when it gets down to it, times are too dang tough to spend money at any Burger King. I mean, a Whopper Meal can set you back $15+. What's that? You want to feed your wife/husband and two kids? That's $40 - $60 now. Good Lord. And it's not like this is good, nutritious food. It's bad for you. And we all know that. That's the whole point at BK. It's supposed to be quick, cheap garbage that tastes good -- "quick" being the operative word here. The quicker you get your garbage and eat it, the less time you spend feeling guilty for wasting money on it.
At Bedford Burger King, you'll get slow, expensive garbage that might taste okay. You can probably go get a real burger at a real sit-down restaurant for a few dollars more, and it will taste good, and the server will be nice to you.
So yeah, roll the dice at Bedford...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would give a negative 5 star!!!! I never rate or give reviews on places but this Burger King has gotten so bad and I'm so disgusted by it that I'm actually going to take the time to give a review in hopes that people will hopefully see how bad this place has gotten!!! They get my order wrong more often than they get it right, they don't care at all on the wait times and I don't know what they gain by lying and cheating on their wait time but I don't know if they can even consider this place as fast food, every time I go there now the parking lot is sooo backed up from the drive thru and I can't remember the last time I went there and waited less then 15-20 minutes to get my order, what they do is take someone's order but they hold that car at the first window and wont let them pull up to the second for quite a long time and like I said I don't know what they gain by doing this but it's like they are trying to cheat out on how long it really takes to get the orders out or lye about how fast they really get the orders out,but it is so incredibly far fetched on being considered fast food, and also you would think that after how long they take to get just one simple order out that they would get it right but they always get the order wrong!!! Its as if the place is ran by kindergarteners just learning how to take orders or just learning how to do a job! I've been going here since I was a kid like 30 some years and this place has gotten so bad and disgusted me so much that I have no urge to waste anymore of my time or my money here hoping they will change, the are just getting WORSE if that's even possible to get any worse than they already are!!! I'm done with this...

Absolutely Disgusted with Todayâs Experience
If I could give zero stars, I would. I visited Burger King today and had one of the worst customer service experiences Iâve ever encountered at any fast food restaurant. While trying to place my order, I was repeatedly cut off mid-sentence by the man taking orders. I noticed that my order was coming up wrong on the screen, so I politely tried to clarify â but instead of listening, he began using profanity and talking over me, clearly annoyed that I was trying to correct the mistake.
He actually told me to either âpull offâ or âjust keep placing my order,â as if I was the problem for trying to ensure I got what I paid for. There was absolutely no reason for that kind of attitude or language, and the level of unprofessionalism was completely unacceptable.
I donât expect five-star service at a drive-thru, but I do expect basic respect and the ability to speak without being cussed at or dismissed. Management needs to seriously retrain their staff â or replace the ones who think treating customers like this is okay. I wonât be coming back, and Iâll be encouraging others to take their business...
