Do not use this location. I have now waited two months for my furniture to be delivered. Today delivery was happening and all the pieces were incorrect and were not what was ordered. Two months later, I still do not have the furniture. Called the store and spoke to Chavon “Sales Manager” who was unable to rectify the problem. I asked to speak to the general manager, and she was unavailable to take phone calls, and they would not be able to call me back until Monday. Definitely will be going to corporate. Absolute nonsense and absolute terrible customer service.
Update: I spoke with the general manager on Saturday and she was going to speak with her manager and get back to me on Monday and I have yet to hear anything from her. It is now Thursday at 5:18 PM and still no callback. No resolution. No acknowledgment. I called yesterday and left my name and number again and still no return call. This is getting to be ridiculous.
Update #2 It is now been a week since I was promised a call back by the general manager. I have called this location every day all week long to be told that the manager was not available or in meetings and that a message will be left for her to give me a call back. Again it is now Sunday at 3:30 PM and this manager has yet to respond back to any of the messages. I requested her manager’s contact information to which I was told I was not able to be given. I requested that a message get sent to him for follow up. I will continue to wait to see what Kind of follow up this manager has. As a manager of the company I work for, this is truly unacceptable. This is not a good business practice at all.
Update #3 It is comical how the “owner” only responds to positive reviews.
Update #4 Still no return call from the “General Manager” and an email was apparently sent to her boss to give me a call and I have yet to hear from him/her. Cannot make this up how terrible their customer service is. Think twice before using this location. There are plenty of other competitors out there.
Update #5 Furniture finally delivered in full 2 1/2 months later. Not bad, outside of the fact that I now need to wait for a drawer handle replacement that came broken from the warehouse. Now that the furniture has been delivered, I will wait for the replacement handle to arrive and to see what compensation/refund the store will be providing. To date, the General Manager never returned any of my calls/messages left for her and her manager never bothered to reach out and return any call at all. I hope they right the situation sooner than later.
Update #6 Attempted to contact the Bel Air location again tonight as I have yet to receive a call from the general manager, Candice. It has been a few weeks now since her original message where she told me she would give me a call back with some sort of resolution. To date, I have called the store numerous times left numerous message for both her and her manager to call me and have received a call back from neither one of them. Called again tonight and spoke to Chavon who again took 7 1/2 minutes to get on the phone and again had an attitude about him.
Update #7 Absolutely ridiculous. As if it could not get any worse, I just went back and looked at the picture of the furniture that we ordered from the store and the furniture that was sent to the residence is not even the correct furniture. What an absolute disaster. I want someone to call me and I want my card credited back 100%. This is an absolute complete mess up on the part of Ashley at this point and I want management to call.
Update #8 To make matters worse, I went back and looked at the picture of the furniture I ordered and the picture I received is not the furniture I ordered at all. It is completely different.    Read moreI recently purchased furniture at Ashley in October and was helped by Abdul and was very impressed with his professional demeanor and excellent salesmanship. He never made me feel pressured to buy more expensive furniture nor did he act put out by the time I took to make up my mind. He was very respectful of my time and allowed me to look at my leisure and choose what I liked. Even though I changed my mind several times he was patient, courteous and professional the entire time. I was very impressed because in the past I was treated very rudely by another salesman at the Ashley store in Bel Air before it closed. Abdul made this experience very pleasant and I would highly recommend him to others. And “Z” who checked me out and explained the purchase policy and scheduled my delivery. He too was very professional, courteous and kind. A couple weeks later I went back to purchase the love seat that matched the couch but Abdul was off that day. I was helped by Emily and she was also very professional, friendly and respectful. When I explained why I was there she helped me find the love seat and purchase it with no delay or issues. She also made sure Abdul received the credit for the sale because I had purchased the original furniture set with Abdul, I was extremely impressed with her professional consideration of her colleague in his absence and her morale and integrity. It showed her true character and professionalism and I would also highly recommend Emily too. I was checked out that day by Rachel who was also very professional and courteous. I will definitely purchase ALL my furniture needs at Ashley Furniture in Churchville, MD. They have a staff of true professionals and highly conscientious salespeople who care about each other as well as their customers … something that is truly rare and hard to find in sales people who are often very competitive and cut throat. Will never shop here again. All I wanted to do was order a replacement cushion. Ordered September 17th. Told 12 weeks for shipping. They couldn't ship to our home, we asked if it could come to the store and we could pick up. They said sure, but wanted to charge a $100 fee to have it shipped from their warehouse to their store. We refused to that. At 12 weeks on December 10th I called to check in on order status. A male rep told me that they had been shipped and allow 7-10 business days. I called on Friday 12/23, just hoping they might be in and I could snag them for Christmas. The male rep assured me nothing yet but they would call when they came in. Today, 12/27 I spoke with Brittany, who stated when looking up my order the order was just placed on the 10th of Dec. I said no I placed in September. She raised her voice and clearly with an attitude said NO DECEMBER 10th... I asked to speak with a manager. The manager Paloma recalls speaking to me the week prior and she said that she is not sure what's going on. Call the service department who handles these things. Now the service department says the cushions will be shipped to a Delaware warehouse, not the store, and they don't have a rep assigned to this order request. WHERE HAS IT BEEN THE LAST THREE MONTHS?! for a cushion and a cover. $300+ and horrible customer service, liars regarding shipping. No organization. Outrageously overpriced. We had to negotiate not paying $100 in shipping to have Ashley ship them to their own store so we could pick them up!
