We chose to eat here after seeing they had a 4-star review. I'm bewildered as to how that is possible? The cheese enchilada tasted like they warmed a tortilla with a slice of Kraft cheese and rolled it. The refried beans had zero flavor. The rice was greasy and the taco dripping with grease. La Tolteca claims to be authentic, sadly it is not. We left without finishing our food. I'm hoping we don't end up sick. We never saw our server after our order was taken.

Started with the Fried Stuffed Jalapeños and loved them. I recommend the Fried Taquitos and Yolanda's. I felt too rushed to eat. We was just starting with the appetizers when the food arrived. We had the fresh Guacamole, made at the table, but the Avocado was not mature enough to be used. It left a bad taste in the mouth. Other than that we had a good time.

Not as good as the LA Toltecca in Bel Air. Red sauce is not as flavorful, the white sauce seems weaker. Chips were almost stale tasting. #123 taco salad had less meat and tasted different. They charged for an extra red sauce. Definitely like the other location better. Would have given 3 stars but our server was great so I upped it to 4.

I called and placed an order for pick-up, already looking at the menu online. I would have ordered online but that was not an option for this location. I ordered two items, the street taco platter which is listed at $14.50, and an order of flan which is listed at $5.99. The order should have totaled $21.72 after tax. The young lady on the phone who took my order was very pleasant but did not give a total. I didn’t really think to ask since I was staring right at the menu when I ordered.

When I arrived to pick up my order, I was charged almost $26, I believe it was $25.68. I did not receive a receipt with my order and I tried to ask for a price breakdown but there was an older waitress who recognized me from my job and was talking to me for awhile. As a result, the young lady who took my order and the man who was standing at the register when I walked in, were both nowhere to be found. I paid in cash so there’s no chance that there was some kind of credit card or convenience fee and the price difference is too large for the menu items to have just been listed incorrectly. A $5 difference may not seem like a lot to most, but it’s not what I was expecting to pay and I purposely drove out of my way to this location as it was cheaper than the one closest to me.

When I ate my food, I was honestly even more disappointed. The chips were totally stale, my carne asada tacos had no flavor and came with the wrong salsa, the flan tasted burnt and bitter on the bottom, and the rice and beans were the only thing I enjoyed. Very upset that I paid almost $26 for this meal…those are dine-in prices with a tip or alcoholic drink. I truly feel that some kind of gratuity was added without my knowledge or permission, because I’m just failing to understand how the price jumped and why I was not given a receipt. I’ve been eating at La Tolteca for years but have never been this location. I will not be returning and would...

Arrived around 5pm and it was not busy, we were seated right away. Chips and salsa dropped off quickly. Waitress was standing around and finally came over. We asked for drink menu, water and more red salsa(we given tiny bowl half full). She brings back a sticky nasty drink menu, drops off and walks away. Finally comes back and take our drink order and walks away before we could order. Finally we order food and it comes quickly, at that time we ask for another red salsa and she said thats the 3rd, we were like yes. She returns with the 3rd tiny bowl half full of salsa. We still had several chips left after the 3rd bowl of salsa and she charged us $1.50 for salsa. Never offered a box or come back to check on us after we got check. Food was good but portions were half the size of aberdenn and bel air. We won't be back, mainly because of the...

Best mexican resturant around here. They go above and beyone any expectation you may have. The food is outstanding, all of it. Especially the texas fajitas. They serve it to you on a sizzling hot plate with shrimp, steak, and chicken. All the toppings come out as well. They give you a nice sized drink and they make sure it never gets empty. You get freshly made warm tortilla chips and two diffrent salsas as soon as you order. We even had a guy come around and prepare us fresh guacamole in a stone bowl right at our table side. This place is truly one of the best spots to eat in harford county. And with there several locations it makes it even easier. Every resturant they have operates the same way as well. Do your self a favor and go here for dinner. You will not be...
