It can be a great place to go if you are in need of something asap. My husband and I have been going here for almost 3 years now. Every time we needed a quick something for our 2.5 boy and 8 month old son we’ve been able to find it for relatively cheap here. BUT they have gone downhill so fast. I’m actually shocked they have 4.7 stars right now. When you go to resell anything to them they are so picky about what they take. Today I took several big items (bassinet, pack’n play, tummy time mat, toys), some bags loaded with clothes/shoes, smaller toys and baby gear. You’re only allowed to fill one tote for clothes/baby gear/shoes and one tote for toys, these totes are smaller than a storage tote. It has never been like that before, you could always bring in whatever, they would look at it and then pay for whatever they wanted. So 75% of the stuff I brought today wasn’t even looked at. Out of the 25% of the stuff I loaded into the bins, they only bought about 10 items. I understand why they didn’t take my big ticket items (some staining/dirt from the rain) but there was stuff that was literally never once used and you could see on the shelves. Also while wondering around waiting to be called, you could look at clothes/toys and see staining/dirt on them. So it’s just like, seriously??? They bought my items for literally a couple of cents over a dollar and I know they will sell it at a minimum of a 90% profit margin. The sales ladies are also very rude...
Read moreI never thought that consignment shopping could be so rewarding. Not only do they offer fair and great second or third chances for my children’s gently used clothing (that they grow out of it all too quickly to look or feel “used”). TBH I also never saw myself as a consignment shopper, but I’m not even sure that means! They offer my family a chance to “upcycle” my kids’ wardrobe full of amazing name brands and quality choices! I encourage you to take store credit for anything you are “selling” because I can guarantee that unless your kids have grown out of the sizes they offer, that there is something for you! They also offer amazing new items in the brand names I trust for baby shower gifts or to replace the bottle sponges I STILL use for all my glass wear! I recommend you check with them to see what is low in their inventory before dropping something off and then I typically save my store credit for the multiple occasions they offer sales (and leave there feeling like I won the lottery)! They also offer a military discount and an amazing way to donate anything they might pass on purchasing to places that put the donations to good use! I also appreciate that they are selective in what they take because that means I shop with confidence knowing that anything I take home looks and feels as close to new if not NWT! A mainstay...
Read moreI work at kid to kid. There are always reasons why we would not take your items. the things that we like to expect are clothing with NO rips, stains and NO odors. The clothing must be freshly laundered and in currant style. to make things go a little faster for both customer and employee, please have your clothing laid flat in a BIN, BOX or BASKET and have outfits together. Infant clothing such as a onesie will not give you much of a pay out at all so it's best to have them in a outfit. I always say if I would not put it on my child I wouldn't put it on others. Our prices are very low. We have well over 1000 items under $5. You could never go to carters and get a $3 outfit like you can at kid to kid. I am on the cash register a lot of the time and I am a very happy and engage with the customer as much as I can and even try to remember your child's name for the next time you visit. I have kids myself and I buy clothing at work. When kids are growing so fast I see it as a waste of time and money getting new clothing when they will be out of it soon. The clothing we have is very gently used some still have tags. Kid to kid is definitely the place if you are trying to save money and even...
