Called the store to get pricing for replacement glass for a frame and spoke to a really nice guy who told me how the process worked and what to do once I arrived. I went in the next day, but he wasn’t there and instead I was met with this woman in framing who assumed I wanted her to fix my frame ( I brought in the broken frame so that it could be measured properly for the glass). Without even waiting for me to explain my reason for being there she blurted out “Oh we don’t fix frames here”. I never asked her if they did, but once I explained my reasoning everything from there was reluctant help. She got the measurements for someone in the back to have the glass cut, but even when my mom asked her if they a specific framing tape she had a smart rebuttal for the type of tape my mom was asking for. Then to make matters worse almost a week later I get a phone call from the store and I’m certain it was her letting me know my frame was ready, smh. I told her I didn’t have a frame there for pickup then she apologized and hung up. The only reason I am giving this Michael’s 2 stars was for the associate in the front that was willing to give us help regarding the tape we were asking for. The person I’m referring to shouldn’t interact with any people because she is not...
Read moreThis location is pretty good with supplies and finding what I need. It is also very clean, which is much appreciated. No one wants to go to a dirty store that sells fabric (Joann's). I have only been in this store a few times so far. I like how they offer self-checkout compared to Joann's and Hobby Lobby, who also basically sell the same materials for crafting.
My only complaint is my last visit to this location. I was looking at the items they had on the shelves before you go to checkout and the lady upfront saw me looking. She randomly called out, "Self-checkout is open!" It was not friendly. I think she thought I was waiting for her to check me out when I was not. I am one of those customers that does not mind using self-checkout instead of going to a cashier.
Personally, I no longer enjoy going to a person because I had too many of them that showed their unprofessionalism and attitude with me for absolutely no reason at all. It is best to use self-checkout, regardless if that causes employees to lose their job positions. They need to learn that they must remain professional and friendly at all times, regardless of how they may feel. If you do not want to walk around with a friendly attitude, stop...
Read moreI think it's hella hilarious that when I was ready to pay for my items, the only option available was Self Checkout. Why is that so hilarious, you may ask? Well, simply put, momma* went to Michael's to purchase certain items momma needed to make a wedding cake; momma did not go to Michael's to work at Michaels--and certainly not to work for free.
Registers #1 & #2 were for customers with returns and/or paying with cash, and because I wasn't returning anything and I don't know what the hell cash is, the only option available to me was Self Checkout at register #3 and beyond. And to that I say, "Bwahaha!" because momma is not on Michaels' payroll AKA momma ain't no damn Michaels employee working the checkout lines--not today.
*that's...
