IHOP — Restaurant in Bel Air

We called about an hour or so ahead, as a party of 19. We were told that they would do their best to seat us as quickly as possible. We told them we had a few people in our party that would have to make their flights so we had about an hour and a half window to get in and out. When we got there, we were told 10 minutes. This was great. But then 10 mins turned into 20, then 30, and we were finally seated about a half hour after arriving. We again stressed that some of us needed to fly out, so we were in a rush. The server took our orders and we were hopeful that the remaining hour we had was enough time to eat and pay and leave. About 20 minutes after we placed our orders, we noticed other people who came after us getting their food. We.got the attention of the server, reminded her that we were in a bit of a rush, and asked if they could please hurry. She comes back out about 5 minutes later and asks which ones need to be expedited so she can put them in. One person in our party asked if ANY of the orders had been put in, and she said not yet. Nearly half an hour after we placed our order, and our order hadn't been put in! We asked to speak to a manager, explained the entire situation as the few meals that then DID come out for the people that needed to leave were just being brought out and the manager was rather rude about it. The whole reason for the 1 star is that we reiterated MULTIPLE times that we had an hour and a half, a reasonable amount of time, and they still waited a half hour before putting the meal...

The server Heather (blonde) was very rude to me and my partner when we came in for lunch today. She brought out our food, which was the breakfast crepes. My partner and I each got them, however my partner ordered the combo while I just ordered the crepes. She brought out two plates, and said "Breakfast crepes". I told her that we each had ordered them but that my partner had ordered the combo. She was very rude and snobbish with her reply saying "That's what this is" and placed the two plates on the table with almost a sneer on her face, and walked away ignoring us after that. Later our actual server Zach came over and apologized, saying there was a mix up in the kitchen and said our other order was being made. We were perfectly fine with this and had no problem with it. When it was time to pay, Heather came to get our payment. When she brought it back she gave us yet another sneer like smile and said something along the lines of seeing us again. I went to get my card back and sign, and she had circled and underlined the "Tip" line. I have no problem with tipping. Not at all. I would have loved to have tipped Zach for being a great server. But Heather was rude and then expected us to give her a tip for her rude behavior when we hadn't spoken to her at all before her serving the one meal. It was just a really unpleasant...

Great food. This time service was not so great. (Also. They changed the policy, kids meal is free with paid adult, BUT DRINKS ARE NOT, NO longer included with meal. ) The waitress did not bother to tell us that. First of all the waitress did not get our order right. We had our grandsons with us, and even though we pointed to the item on the children's menu, (funny face pancakes) the picture had it come with eggs and sausage. However when she brought the pancake it didn't have that eggs and sausage. And she said "oh, that I "should have told her I wanted eggs and sausage with it". And I said, " I pointed to the picture right here that clearly has the eggs and sausage with it" and she just Shrugged!!!. She was so rude. I asked her how long she been there, she said three years. And we asked her if there were any specials. She said, "I don't know." I asked her if she could find out because we like all you can eat pancakes. She rolled her eyes and just kind of left. She brought our drinks and then took our order. We asked about the specials again she Shrugged us off. (At home later, we see a commercial with all you can eat pancakes with any breakfast combo.) We won't sit on her side again. Usually we sit on the other side of the restaurant and have a great great service. Sorry Ihop you missed it this time. We have been loyal...
