I've been shopping at this store for over 25 years. I absolutely love me some Dot's market. They have the best meat in town (all other posters say the same thing). However, for me, the best thing is that they are locally owned and operated and will go out of their way to help you anyway they can. If you can't find something you can ask the assistant manager, the manager, or even the store owner and they will go out of their way to help. Not point you in the direction but take you to the aisle and pick it off the shelf for you. It's a smaller store (not near the size of a Kroger) so sometimes (rarely) they may not have a product you want but they will bring it in for you. Yes, they do not have the buying power of a Kroger, so some things may be a little higher in price but it's worth it. If you keep tabs on their weekly ads you can save as much as you do at Kroger. And did I say they have the best meat in town. People go way out of their way to go to Dot's for...
Read moreWould not even give one star. Management clearly has low emotional quotient as well as severe lack of knowledge about how to interact with the public and people in general. Completely blew me off when I was trying to converse with him. I just needed 2 seconds to transfer funds to my card to pay for my things that I spent 20 minutes picking out and cashier loudly said my card declined and I needed to go to the back of the line. Almost had funds transferred and she got impatient. After seeing her obvious frustration I just dropped everything and left embarrased. They didn't even bother to tell their bagger boy that they couldn't wait for me to transfer and he followed me. With the groceries. I had to send him back in with the ignorant cashier coming after him. They all severely lack of communication skills. Do...
Read moreThis place has a meat department that outshines Kroger or Meijers....and I have done a side by side taste test comparison with friends and family that agrees with me. Also, great for meat bundles. I get one or two about twice a year. So, why 3 stars? The fresh produce is despicable. Great fresh meats and veggies pair well, for kabobs, stews, roasting, searing, broiling, etc. When I see wrinkled peppers, feel soft onions, and gasping at the $6 questionable looking wrapped in plastic wrap Broccoli, I'm left feeling grossed out a bit. On another positive note, Dots usually has a great selection of dry local popular spice blends. And the little restaurant inside the one I go to has very good old fashioned homestyle cooking, try the breakfast menu....I mean come...
