Buddy's Vets - East — Local services in Bellevue

We have used Allouez Animal Hospital since 2005 when we moved to the Green Bay area (cats and dogs). I have always been a satisfied client who mostly just showed up yearly for vaccines and checkups, but recently a few events have shown me that Dr. Becky and staff are truly extraordinary and our family is well beyond satisfied.

First, I had to put down my dog in the Fall of 2014. It was devastating and Dr. Becky was so compassionate and caring. Much more recently, our new dog became severely ill. He has a rare disease that is known as the great pretender or great imitator since the symptoms mimic those of more common diseases. It makes it tough to diagnose since vets see it so rarely. Dr. Becky recalled a case from vet school and figured out what was wrong with my dog relatively quickly and that saved his life. This disease is requiring a lot of care and more than one time, we thought we might lose our dog before the medicine could even arrive for treatment. {Side note - NO ONE carries this in their office since it is pricey and rarely used so this isn't a criticism of Allouez Animal (who contacted several local vet clinics to see if anyone had any - nope). We even contacted a huge vet clinic in Milwaukee that claimed they had a fully stocked pharmacy and they didn't have it.} Dr. Becky got the medicine quickly (ordered based on her hunch before we even had confirmation so we were able to treat the day after the test confirmed the illness) and she has been with us every step of the way. After his confirmed diagnosis, we discussed the latest protocols and came up with a treatment plan that should ensure my dog will be with us for many years to come. Additionally, Mandi, Sam, Lauren, Amy and the entire staff are very patient when you are calling incessantly, because you are scared for your pet. The entire staff is very kind and very professional. Although we don't see Dr. Neil as much, when we do, he is also wonderful.

When our pets were all relatively healthy, we were satisfied but didn't think much more about it. Now that we have also had to deal with far more complex and difficult situations, we know just how truly great Allouez Animal Hospital is and how lucky we are to have Dr. Becky looking out for our pets. I strongly recommend Allouez...

One of the most important decisions you will make as a pet parent is finding a quality vet. I look for recommendations from my friends. I received 5 recommendations all for allouez. I was not disappointed. I can not say enough good things about Allouez. I have an emotional support dog for my daughter Hannah. My first initial contact was over the phone to set up the appointment. The call was easy and efficient I explained that my dog wasn't pleasant to other dogs. Receptionist said to call when I arrived for my appointment they would just clear the lobby. My mind at that point was blown. Really no muzzle or special entrance excetra.. When I arrived everything went smoothly my daughter and I, along with Trixie entered the building upon clearance of other dogs. It was so clean and well organized. Staff was kind passionate and friendly to all of us. We Were not required to wear masks! My daughter was welcome to stay. We both enterented the exam room with Trixie. They take their time with explanations and options. We did not wait all but 3 minutes for the vet to come into the exam room. Trixie received a lot of attention from all of the staff. I even asked if I could watch them cut her nails so I could learn, they said of course. I told Becky (the vet) that my daughter Hannah had been feeding Trixie all kinds of food that made her sick and overweight. Becky identified that my daughter was autisic, and talked to her about why the foods were bad for Trixie in words my daughter could understand. During our visit she asked me about Trixie's behaviors with other dogs. I explained and she recommended an affordable trainer that could help me with Trixie.

In a nutshell They are wonderful, affordable, passionate, amazingly helpful people, who really care about the animals, (and their human companions!.) If you are looking for a vet for your animals...

Found a lump in my kittys (Trippy) mammary area, age 7 years, on Christmas, ive never had to take her to a vet so she wasn't in any system yet apart from shots before i got her at 6 weeks, which I dont have. After calling around to several different places with high reviews, no one was taking in new patients any earlier than 6-8 weeks in or around the area above 4 stars (you pay for what you get, and I wanted the best, dont penny pinch or be sorry, though the cost was extremely reasonable after asking a few people their experiences, it was the low end of my estimate, and I can already afford it), Buddy Vets was able to get me an appointment the following week with Dr Becky; my cat doesn't really like anyone but me, and had no issues at Buddy Vets from the getgo! Everyone is super kind, understanding, and caring, i was extremely worried about the situation but they were resolving, after doing a fine needle test, they got back to me within 2 days to say it was found to be a tumor. They were able to get my cat into surgery with Dr. Harper a few weeks before anyone else would of been able to even see her, which saved me SO much stress, and potentially my cat more pain/years of life if it comes back from the lab as malignant/cancerous.
