I had already had a great axe-only experience here a couple weeks ago, but the kitchen was open yet.
Tonight I picked up two pizzas and some wings for me, my girls, and my parents. We got one Manhattan Meat, an alfredo chicken with olives and spinach added, and some spicy garlic wings. Everything was fabulous. We've missed having Lighthouse Pizza downtown and that's the best I can compare it to. Thin, foldable crust that's bubbly, chewy, and supple. Generous and balanced ingredients. The wings had a spicy but enjoyable hot sauce and loads of minced garlic. Never seen em like that. They smelled (and tasted) fantastic. Despite being pre-sauced, they weren't wet or slimy. They were huge though! Between my daughters and my parents we had a variety of preferences and pickiness, but everyone devoured their food. Great atmosphere with free arcade games! I ordered my food for pickup at 5:30 - about 45 min to an hour from when I ordered it. I only got to dominate Street Fighter for a couple minutes while they finished the piping hot wings. Attentive and professional service. Go...
Read moreWe are a family of 5, and decided to try The Alley for the first time last week for their kids bowl free during the summer program. Love that they do this by the way. Every employee we encountered was very polite and accommodating. We even ordered food and that was pretty good too.
My only complaint is the cleanliness of this place. We were given a bowling lane where the table wasn’t wiped down and there was stuck on remainders of food to the seating. There was crumbs underneath the table - and we were there at open; so no one had been there before us. This had to have been left from the night prior. As I looked around it was more of the same. Nothing was really wiped down/dusted or swept/vacuumed. The bathrooms were not very clean either and the stall with the only changing table in the bowling alley was locked from the inside when I went to try to change my toddler.
I just don’t feel like the new owners are taking much pride in this place. It could truly be something great for our town - if they can keep up with taking care of the...
Read moreWent in on a Saturday night with my family cause their website said they do cosmic bowling 11am-10pm. We get there and the sign out front says league bowling at 5pm. Its 730 and the parking lot isnt very full so we go in. Walk around for about 5 min to check it out then get to the counter. The kid running it is being super short with my wife and being a total prick. Says no open lanes. Basically acting like we were bothering him. I counted at least 4 on the end that werent being used. Didnt offer for us to wait or anything, so we just left. Too bad, looked like a nice place.
To respond the owner below, no one was at the counter except the kid that said, “yeah, what do you want?” If thats the kind of people you want to keep on employ thats your choice, hopefully hes not like that to your other patrons but i definitely wont be coming back...
