Tonight I decided I'd fix my Craftsman lawn mower. Need a drive belt, an air filter, and some engine oil. As my usual, I called ahead to assure they have these items in stock. The kid on the phone said they have lots of belts for Craftsman. Ok, off I go. Upon further inspection they have zero Craftsman belts. None, nada, zip, zilch. A large supply of off-brand, so ok. Asked the child at the register if they've got a book or computer to tell me which would fit my mower. Nope. Just pointed out a slide ruler for measuring the belts. ●Side note, my belt had been shredded by my mower, so I have nothing for comparison. That kid was no help. Enter the next juvenile to assist me. Now he actually came to the belt aisle to show me how the slide ruler works, but could not figure out how to find my size. I had the Craftsman part number and belt size from the Sears website. Nothing. Of course he had this tidbit of knowledge: "the 35" is the diameter, and the 3/8" is the thickness"... half right. Not bad for today's public schools, I guess. They have the mower in the store. I asked if he could retrieve the belt from that one so we could size it. Nope. "It came out of the box like that." Recently purchased a new Weber Performer Deluxe Charcoal Grill 22", $459.00. I've been shopping this store since 1987, and my dad before me. We were offered either the floor model or one from the back, we chose the floor model and they loaded into my truck All indications were this unit came with an LCD timer except we did not receive timer/clock pictured on the front. Called the store within an hour and was told the clock was an add-on. Checked the paperwork and it shows as included and makes no mention of optional. Called the store manager back the next day and told it may be that the clock was pilfered in the store, that it happens occasionally but that we would have to call Weber and order another one (clock) as it wasn't his (Ace Hardwares) issue. And he further stated Weber wouldn't work with him. Very disappointed in this exchange...

Went to get ice melt, snow storm was coming & most places were sold out. I was relieved they had some left, but then the employee said it was $17.99 a bag!! I had been to Walgreens earlier in the week & they had it on sale for $1.79 a bag. Now the bags here were bigger, but not by an extra $16 a bag. When I said to the clerk that price was outrageous & they’re ripping people off during a time of crisis that’s coming, he sarcastically replied the he doesn’t set the prices. Well who does at this store? This is blatant price gouging!! I have reported this to the BBB, and will also be writing a letter to the Attorney General!
